Flamingo Land Theme Park & Zoo

I visited Flamingo Land with my family, relatively recently and to begin with found it very expensive (even more expensive than the likes of Alton Towers).
I believe Flamingo Land has been around for many years and to be honest this showed. It looked very shappy and not very up to date.
To me the animals didn’t look very happy within their enclosures, and for the likes of rhino’s etc the enclosures seemed too small for them and didn’t offer the stimulation they require.
I went on a few of the rides, but to be honest there wasn’t that many.
For the price they charge it was definitely very overpriced and don’t think I will be making a return trip.

Although the address of this spa is Hampstead High Street, the entrance is in fact down a side alley.
This spa is a hidden gem (there is also a 2nd branch in Mayfair). The staff are very friendly and provide an excellent atmosphere and service.
They offer a range of different services and treatments. You can also purchase gift vouchers.
You may even be able to spot the odd 'celebrity’

I’d always thought Morrison’s was a cheaper alternative to Tesco and Sainsbury’s. And although I would agree that some items are cheaper than Sainsbury’s, the same can’t be said regarding Tesco.
This store is quite small and doesn’t really offer a wide variety of items. I’ve shopped here a few times, to save pennies, and often find they don’t always have what I want.
The fruit and veg is relatively OK and cheapish, although everything seems to be pre packaged ie you can’t buy just one apple.
The car park isn’t very large, although there are plenty of parent and child spaces (watch out for the disabled badge spaces which are in the same area - you’ll often fund both parent and child and blue badge holders parking in the wrong spaces, which doesn’t seem to be monitored by the store).

This is a Beefeater chain situated in a converted mill (hence the name). The building is lovely and very picturesque as you come up the drive/road leading to it.
There is plenty of seating outside, with a quite large childrens play area. However there is also a river, so children can not be left unsupervised.
There are numerous resident ducks, and a duck food dispenser (20p a go) so customers/guests can feed the ducks. My daughter loves this, the ducks have become very accustomed to the sound of the dispenser and are already looking for food before you’ve even taken it.
There is plenty of parking on site and also a Premier Inn hotel next door.
Food can be hit and miss, I’ve had excellent food but also experienced luke warm food. If you are looking for a relatively cheapish family orientated venue and don’t mind if the food is great then the Moor Mill would suffice.
I have always found the staff helpful and accommodating. Although have had to wait several minutes when waiting to be seated.

This ice cream parlour is tucked away down a side street not far from Neal’s Yadr/Neal’s Street, Covent Garden.
My friend and I went there following dinner at Wagamama’s, we both didn’t want to depart company yet but didn’t fancy something of the alcoholic beverage. We’d heard about this place from another friend and thought we would take a peek.
The ice cream was excellent I had scoops of coconut and cinnamon. The cinnamon was very yummy. My friend had double chocolate - which is very rich and would need something to complement it (unless you are a very big chocolate lover). At the time we visited they were doing large tubs for the same price as a medium and who was I to say no.
Service was very quick, and the member of staff was very accommodating especially when my friend made a wrong order and wanted a cone instead.
Seating is very limited there are only about 3 or 4 tables, with a couple of seats each. I did feel that our conversation was entirely private!!
I will definitely be visiting here again when I’m next that way.
