It's also a restaurant. Rooms are ok. Basic but ok. Restaurant has nice specials (fish, local meat) and pizza.

Not Holiday Inn any more but an Idea Hotel.
Rooms are big. Big TV. Sofa. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom basic. Air con nearly working.
Breakfast is very average. Particularly is limited in supply. Wake up early. Coffee is bad. Croissant ok. Low diversity.

Decent pizza place. Has the usual suspects: pasta, meet options - including mixed grill - pizza, salads.
Staff is friendly.
Really busy at lunch time with people for nearby offices filling up the place. Much quieter in the evening where most business probably comes from the nearby Idea hotel (ex holiday inn).
I put a four star because there's not much other option if you are stuck in the area.

This place has now closed. A new cafe took its place. It's called Papillon. Looks more upper class. I haven't tried it.

I have been there a long time ago. Back in 2008. The service was so so and the pasta was too salty (for my taste)
Nevertheless I thought about giving it another go. I went for lunch. I got the set menu. £10 gets you a drink, starter, main and bread+olive oil/balsamic vinegar. That's a good deal.
The food was nicer than what you usually get on Northfields avenue, but the pasta have a tendency to be a bit too oily.
The place was full and there was a lot of regulars. Which is a good sign.
The service was nice until we were ask to leave as soon as our bill was settled as more people were queuing for food. It's understandable but they did not put a lot of effort to explain.
Overall this is an OK place particularly because the competition for better than average food is non-existant in this area.
Service is so so. Clearly some of their staff are very junior and probably too junior as well.

For those staying on business in the Aztec west area this is probably one of the best option.
Price is reasonable. The hotel is fully automated: you checkin at the nearby Starbucks on a computer. No staff here.
The room are nice. Very modern. Beds are firm. There is a flat screen tv. All rooms have an iron. This can be handy.
The hotel is next to starbucks and a bar restaurant sharing the same premise.
Pizza are good. Pasta portions a bit small.
In the morning starbucks is you only breakfast option.

Very good value for Money. Large offer on the menu including Malaysian dishes. Singha beer.
Decor is rather boring. Nothing Thai there so that's a bit of a let down. Service is basic but friendly.
Duck curry was nice. Mix platter as a starter was not very orginal. Rice is ok.
All in all a good Thai but don't expect much as this is rather cheap.

Ok place for food. Crepe are correct but they use the same base for sweet and savory crepes which is a no no. Service is very friendly.
Salad platter are not bad.
Much better option than the many greasy places around for breakfast.

I think cafe du nord is better. I did not like the pineau mussels. Fries were not as good as the neighbour restaurant. Average experience.

Probably one of the nest restaurant to go to in La Rochelle.
The setting is lovely and original. The staff very professional.
We had the 18 euros menu. There are 2 other set menus but more expensive. There is also a menu for 23 euros with the day's market catch. Interestng.
Food is very lovely the fish dish are all yummy, the cocktails are nice.
I don't really know La Rochelle it looks like Restaurant to visit before you go.
Make sure you book though.
