Monkey Maze - Garforth
Link House, Ninelands Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS25 1NT

The play area for oth toddlers and the older chidren are fantastic..it is only their food and drinks that lets them down. Coffee is horrid and expensive and their food costs the earth.
We tend to go here for a few hours play and then go elsewhere to eat.
sweetpeasnursery UPDATE 2010
Monkey Maze has been bought by Sweet Peas Nurseries.
We have brought in proper coffee! (Caffe Society) and put a new menu in place. All our regulars think its good value, and some travel from Bradford, Selby and York, regularly. Try it for yourself!

The Kirklees Light Railway Company - Clayton West
Park Mill Way, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire HD8 9XJ
09-01-2009
We went to a Thomas event last weekend. I wouldn’t recommend this in the cold as they have a bouncy castle which our daughter didn’t want to get off so myself, hubby and the baby were stood freezing while she had a little bounce lol.
The train ride was cold too but we all still enjoyed it, we didn;t get off at the other end though we stayed on to go back to the cafe for hot chocolate. The machine had run out so we ended up with warm milk. The staff were great and sorted the machine and gave us fresh cups. I was surprised they only charged a pound for it too because so many places now charge £3 for the same thing.
We didn’t try the food but it didn’t smell or look very nice. They do have a lovely picnic area with a play park next to it so I would take a picnic if the weather is fine.
It cost £8.50 for adults and £7.50 for over 2’s. It was worth it because the children got a card each that let them do 6 other activities for free such as ride the miniture railway round the pond, get a free balloon, make badges and ride on Thomas himself (there were other things I just can’t remember them off the top of my head right now).
White Rose Shopping Centre - Leeds
White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS11 8LS
15-11-2008
The more I visit the White Rose centre the more I hate it. It gets very very busy and the variety of shops are becoming less and less. This kind of place to me should be somewhere I can get pretty much whatever I want or need under its roof. I can no longer do that.
I was sorry to see the Mothercare go and I think Woolies has gone now too. All it seems good for now a days is clothes and computer games. The food court is what we have come to expect from shopping centres fast, cheap food, often bland and costs a fortune.
You can find the usual big names such as Mcdonalds, Pizza hut, star bucks and KFC along with a jacket potaote place, chinese and a few others.
What would make this centre a little more bareable would be some kind of supervised soft play area where you could take your little ones to play while you have a coffee.
canal gardens/ roundhay park - Leeds
street lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS8 1AW
15-11-2008
The gardens a re lovely to wonder around in the summer time. There is plenty of open space for little ones to burn off some energy too. If you wander futher through the gardens down towards the lake you will come to a lovely play park for the children.
Be warned though there is a small fairground nearby too so we tend to walk along the lake edge to avoid the children seeing it. Also along the lakeside there are ice cream vans and a little restaurant/cafe to order food in (we do this on spur of the moment trips otherwise we take a picnic).
You can pretty much spend the entire day at roundhay there is that much to see and do. In the autum we take the kites with us too.
ten bao - Halton

I love chinese food and this is the nicest I have found near me that deliver. I wouldn’t advise using them on a Tuesday not sure if its a diferant cook but you can always slice through the rice it is that over cooked and the sauces are always really thick and horrid (blackbean sauce especially)
Portion sizes aren’t skimpy and you usually get plenty of meat. Staff are on the whole friendly although I did have a running with one when they messed up our order and when I called to tell them the woman called me a liar. We always order the same thing and its on their computer so I didn’t even have to tell her what we wanted!
This is why they get a 3 star and not a 4.
East Leeds Carsales - Crossgates
Crossgates Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS15 7PE
15-11-2008
This place is just off the roundabout opposite Mecca, I know used car dealers have a bad reputation and I was dubious about buying from one when my HUsband saw a car advertised there.
We went to have a look and we weren’t pushed by pushy salesmen. We ended up buying the car, the service was fab. We have had the car 6 months now and nothing has gone wrong (touchwood).
Mecca Bingo - Crossgates
Crossgates Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS15 7PE
15-11-2008
It’s the same as any other Mecca across the country. The only downside to this site is the new smoking area. It is down some steep staircases that can be difficult to get down if your not good on your legs.
Food isn’t anything to write home about but it is edable.
Pets At Home - Colton
Unit 5a Colton Retail Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS15 9JB

Very friendly staff, when we call in they are ften cleaning the cages ect and make sure the animals are well cared for.
Prices are about the same as paws for thought which is he only other petshop nearby.
Tesco Stores - Leeds
Seacroft Green York Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS14 6DQ
15-11-2008
This store is what I would call a super store they sell alsorts of things. Most itmes you find in tesco direct they sell.
My only problem with them are the customer service staff, they are the only members I have come across that are rude and unhelpful. They couldn’t even answer a simple question and sent me from pilar to post to find the answer.

Booked a holiday with them for next year as part of a large wedding party. The staff have been excellant and gone above and beyond to help us cater for everyone.
