Prince of India - Faversham

Not as good as it was. The service, which used to be the best thing about the place has gone downhill and the staff barely speak English making it very difficult to order take aways.
This used to be a reguaklr haunt, but we wont be going back
The food is now average at best. They must be using dried, rather than fresh ingredients and cheaper frozen stuff, because it doent taste anywhere near as good as it once did.
we wont be going back
aysha26 i think Gavers you need to go back to school learn how to spell by the way i have investigated your review everyone knows that you are the owner of spice lounge why would you want to write bad reviews about your Competitor. go and get a life. you are not going to become a millionaire by writing bad reviews about prince of india

trevorfentiman I have used this resturant since it opened and on being told a couple of weeks ago it was not so good i went again to find out for myself. I took my wife and we had a very good meal and polite service as always. I will keep using the Prince of India and i think if you have anything to complain about tell the staff and they will correct it. I would give them 4 stars as i always think you should leave one as everyone can get better no matter how good they are. My wife and i will keep using The Prince of India.

Fantastic location bang on the beach in Minnis Bay in Birchington.
One a 1930s cafe, the buidkling has been much extended and modernised, due in large aprt to a fire a few years ago.
There's a chocce of dining areas: bar, restaurant and first floor private dinning room and large oal fresco terace. They also have their own ice craem kiosk and a a takeaway serviice for people who want to picnic on the beach.
There's a variety of menus to chose from and reflect the afct patron-chef Jason Freeman has worked with the best.
Recently, the kitchen has stared curing, smoking and pickling their own meats and fish, taking lessons from the Roman invaders who settlred here 2,000 years ago when the "Isle" of Thanet lay a mile off the Kent coast.
There's hiome-made Salt Beef, Corned Beef with Dripping, Smoked Pancetta, Home Cured Streaky Bacon, Sweet Cured Air Dried Pork Loin, and Pastrami and Smoked Pastrami, Spicy & Sweet Chorizo, Wild Venison & Merguez and also their Salami Milano, Salami Parmarello and Cured Slicing Chorizo.
There's plenty of fresh seafood, a proper vegetarian menu and an interesting take on "sushi" desserts.
Children are welcome with their own annual; drawing competition and have access to a large stock of beach toys, inflatables and boats and an ice cream kiosk in the summer months.

Visited for a Sunday lunch. It was a miserable, wet day and the restaurant was packed with families of varying sizes, with lots of (well-behaved) kids.
Son no.1 had the home made steak burger, which came with a decent salad. Excellent and very herby.
No 2 loaded on the carb, opting for the bread basket and enormous chips, the size of Jenga pieces.
My belly of pork ws succulent with a crisp crackling served with black pudding wrapped in mash.
The other half went for the two meat roast and was demolished with a very decent Rioja.
The boys were defeated by the enormous slabs of gooey chocholate brownie cake.
Well worth a visit and am looking forward to paying a return visit when the weather improves and we can enjoy the large pretty garden.
A la carte, bar and kids’ menus. Food served Mon – Sat 12-3pm 6 - 9pm,Sunday 12.00 - 4.00pm
Spacious, mature garden, complete with discrete children’s play area and Pétanque pit is a family-orientated food-led pub offering Diners can also eat in the airy conservatory, cosy ’Nook’ or patio areas. Disabled facilities and private parking
Mouchak - Tenterden

Reopened after major building works and a complete refurb. Gone is the dated decor and furnishings. The new flack floorboards and whtre walls have replaced the blue wllas and naff carpet.
Starters include lightly spice scallops and Bengal fired fish. Chef's specialisties mains feature Manchurian lamb - a tiika dish cooked bhuna style with green perper, green chill, onion, corriander, tomatoe and ginfer. Excellent.
rom the same stable as the raja of Kent, also in Tenterden with another in Maidstone
The Huntsman - Tunbridge Wells

A truly awful experience. Why do people this rude want to be in the hospitality business. It only survives beacuse iof it's clsoe proximity to the station and the fact there's no where else around for miles
PWC31 Gavers - hear what you are saying, but it's under new management now and is a pretty good pub. I think you should try it again as your comment does not ring true with my experience and that of others. Not sure how many commuters at the station actually go there tbh.
