Beer good, wine pleasant (less headache-inducing than under previous ownership…), food is indeed very pricey.

Leans somewhat towards the rugby clientèle, but if they are the ones that actually go in and spend the money, why not? If more locals used the pub, one of the few amenities in the village, we might hang on to a landlord for a while.

The landlord has introduced an extra amenity to the village: a library. Donations welcome, and loans or purchases equally so. Proceeds go to the school.

Use it or lose it, people.

For a little school in a little village, it achieves great things, both academically and in sport.

If you are looking for a great example of what can be done when a community pulls together with an exemplary head teacher, look no further.

This school is why we moved to the area. It turns out happy, balanced, well-educated children.
