Waterloo Station - Waterloo
York Road, Waterloo, London SE1 7ND
17-08-2009
WAterloo station is a great vibrant place with shops and other ammenities and access to several lines of train and the underground. It serves the Jubilee line which will take you up to green park where you can enjoy Hyde Park and other London Attractions.
Lewisham DLR Station - Lewisham
Loampit Vale, London SE13 7SN

Nice small station with ample ammenities. Nothing excessive and functions well. The actual train is painstakingly slow though.
Shoe Zone - Slough
High Street, Slough, Berkshire SL1 1LE
01-06-2009
This shop is chocablock full of utilitarian looking shoes. They are all mass manufactured souless (not sole less!) shoes that are of not bad quality but anyone with any taste or fashion sense wouldnt wear them. They have some shoes for kids made from one piece of foam. The staff there put up with their surroundings well and are quite helpful. I cant get over the fact that its row after row of what look like workmans boots… and some of them are. I would say, if you need cheap work boots with steel oe caps: this is the place to o.
Suits You - Slough
26 The Observatory, High Street, Slough, Berkshire SL1 1LE
01-06-2009
A very professional and industry leading suit hire and buying store. They have classic and contemorary suits, but not that reat a range. I once went in there specifically looking for a green ie and didnt find a single one. But what they do have there is great quality and looks fantastic. Service is well informed and friendly which is very useful when buying suits. It isnt a very big store but the clothes are well arranged and the shop itself looks very clean and stylish. Highly reccommended.
Works - Slough
164-166 High Street, Slough, Berkshire SL1 1JP
01-06-2009
The Works in slough is now closed and has apparently moved on to Windsor. I think it was due to the credit crunch and its affect on business. When it was open I did frequently visit it for art supplys.they were the cheapest in town and like other Works shops it had agreat array of arts, crafts and hobby related items. Things you dont really find in other stores. I really hope they return to slough because since Woolworths closed, my options for cheap art supplys have dwindled.
W H Smith - Slough
176 High Street, Slough, Berkshire SL1 1JN
01-06-2009
I Like this WHSmith. It may only have one floor but it is big enough to fit everything you need. You’ll find the post office at the back, and everything else is arranged as you would expect it to be. What I like in particular is that there are always great discounted deals near the counter. I like that they have employed older people to work at the tills, they are extrememly friendly and the people working on the floor are very helpful and knowledgable. I visit WHSmith regularly for stationary despite there being cheaper alernatives because of the above reasons and the great quality.
Cafe 3G - Slough
261 High Street, Slough, Berkshire SL1 1BN
01-06-2009
I’ve been to cafe 3G a number of times to get my phone repaired or to get accesories for it but always walk out empty handed. This is always for one of two reasons. Either they do not have what I want in stock or I find it to be too expensive. The fusion of technology shops and cafe is not well achieved. It seems like someone has crashed a portable canteen into the back of the shop. Not great appeareance. Not great service. I wouldnt reccommend it, but maybe you can find what your looking for there.
Starbucks Coffee - Slough
148 High Street, Slough, Berkshire SL1 1JP
01-06-2009
I would say starbucks is slough’s equivelent to Central Perk cafe in friends. Rivaled mainly heavy hitting coffee purveyor Costa, starbucks is one of only a few large cafés around.
Not only do they serve the usual coffee and muffins, they also serve lunch type food such as paninis and a great hos of hot drinks.
The baristas are amiable but not very patient as I found out when my friend admitted he is a rookie when it comes to coffee and asked what the difference is between the coffee. I dont blame him; the selection is almost too big. There is seating available both indoors and outside. Inside is very cosy and the theme is art neuveu, outside is cold!
Uxbridge Collectables - Uxbridge
52a Windsor Street, Uxbridge, Buckinghamshire UB8 1AB
31-05-2009
I have only ever passed by this store as it is close whenever I am around but it is truly a place full of mystery and wonder. The windows are chocablock full of trinkets which make me want to just break in and ponder through. I love how it is on Windsor Street, as it is a shop you can really picture in Windsor. It does seem very archaic, which is great as it fits the theme of the store perfectly. My main concern is that I have walked past it many many imes and it is never open! why oh why?
Nando's - Uxbridge
The Chimes Shopping Centre, High Street, Uxbridge, Buckinghamshire UB8 1LB
31-05-2009
Potentially one of the best places to eat in uxbridge. I would thoroughly recommend the Peri Peri Chicken to anyone, except for Muslims - unfortunately this branch dosnt do halal meat. Which is a great shame as there is a hue market ready to eat there if only they did serve it. The service there is great though as is the fabulous rustic feel of the interior, just as with any other Nandos, but this one feels more modernised. Price isn’t great so you might just want to visit once every now and then. Even if you are a vegetarian, I hear the vege burgers are great. Nicely nestled near the end of the High Street.
