Paignton “zoological gardens” is a lovely place, with many different animals to visit. They have spent a lot of time creating suitable environments for the animals, and there is a lot of information to take in. I think it is suitable for all ages - we took our 2 year old girl for her birthday! I would definitely recommend a visit, although it’s a little hilly in places so not great taking a buggy everywhere.
They have toilets around the site, and baby change facilities too. There is a large restaurant, with outside seating for warmer days, plus they have a bar.

Office, on Exeter high street, has a wide range of shoes, from the normal everyday shoe to something a bit quirky! There are some good prices, but some styles are a bit expensive. Staff are attentive and helpful and will always ask you if you need any help when you first go in. As always, look out for the sales!

If you love shoes the tReds in Exeter’s Guildhall shopping centre is the place to go. They have some lovely boots at the front of the store and they do flats/trainers further back. They also have some mens and children’s shoes. Watch out for the sales as that is when you can get a bargain pair!

If you want cheap books then The Works is the place to go! It is located in the Guildhall shopping centre, and although it is small it is packed with bargains. They also do things like colouring books, pens, pencils, arts/crafts etc and other little stocking filler-type items. Always worth looking in there to spot the bargains!

Somerfield is located near the Vue cinema in Exeter, in town. It is a small supermarket, but you can do a full shop there. It is near a couple of car parks, so you can get all your shopping straight to the car, but you can’t park directly outside. They are set out over 2 levels - top level is the newsagent section, and the bottom level is where the main supermarket is. They did have a bargain on the other day of 2 boxes of roses/quality street for £9 which is better than I’ve seen anywhere so far this Christmas!
