I absolutely love this place. Bang in the middle of Soho but just like a neighbourhood cafe-bistro and really, really good value. Light and airy, great food, brilliant music, lovely decor, friendly staff, perfect with friends and also one of the few places I feel comfortable on my own. The best place on a Sunday morning for their hotel-style buffet and so much better than squeezing into the Breakfast Club down the road. Oh, and they’ve got a screening room downstairs that you can hire with your friends for watching your favourite films!
St Pancras International Station - Kings Cross

When it first opened I went along and though really awe-struck by the architecture I sort of wondered what the point of it was with the poncy champagne bar and strange statues. As the year’s gone by I can’t go into another station in the country without wishing I was in St Pancras’ epic grandeur surrounded by the brilliant shopping and restaurants they’ve so artfully presented. I just wish it was a little easier to find my way around. Sometimes you just need to go to a chemist, get a coffee or buy something to read and the signage is truly truly awful and really infuriating when you’re in a hurry. I’ve learned now, but I’d hate to be fresh from France and trying to navigate the station.

I love this place (though I think Monmouth do better coffee), its just such a wonderful old-school independent specialist shop with great, knowledgeable staff. And they sell the most fabulous ceramic tea-pots in great colours very cheap

Quite simply the best coffee available in London. Now I just need to buy a fancy espresso machine to do justice to the amazing beans these people sell. And they’re just so helpful too, happy to talk you through your decision. If you love coffee why buy it anywhere else?

I used to go almost every weekend but the last few times I’ve been its really gone down hill. Maybe its just a blip but the service has been erratic, the food not like it used to be (and on one occasion not cooked properly) and the music changed from disco to rave. Maybe its just got too busy and too popular but they just don’t seem to have kept up with demand. Still one of the better places for breakfast in the area but realy not as good as it should or used to be.
