Hotel Fereniki is part of a group of hotels in Georgioupoli, just right off the beach. My room was basic yet lovely, as I had a balcony and could see and hear the beach! It was a gorgeous view. The service in the hotel is much like the rooms - basic. They change bedding and towels once a week, but will change them for you if requested. The staff are friendly and helpful, yet there are a few that barely speak english. As I opted in for half board I ate at the Taverna. The service was again lovely, though again most speak broken english. The food was fresh and tasty - but not exceptional. All in all I loved my holiday in Crete and I got what I paid for. If I were to go back to Georgioupolis I would stay here again. If you meet an Albanian man working there…tell him I said “hi” ;)
