Marlow Builders - Marlow

11 Chapel Street, Marlow, Buckinghamshire SL7 3HN

13-09-2011 (updated on 09-11-2012)

This is what “local builder” should be all about…..on time, courteous to neighbours, clean and tidy, professional and cost effective! If you want the best at the best rates then look no further than Martin and his team of merry men…..there is nothing that they cannot do and are always happy to offer advice even if you don’t end up using them (which you would be mad not to)…..give them a call to find out more.

Jimbo007 Just for the record this is not my business……must be an admin error? I struggle with lego hence my introduction to Martin!

Tudor Rose - Marylebone

went in here yesterday with new work colleagues and really liked it. The atmosphere was good, the service was sharp and the toilets were clean. Football was on and spurs managed a draw so that is the only downside as if they lost it would have been a prefect night out. Get in here if you like an old school vibe, locals chit chatting and a decent pint!

this is a great local pub whatever you are looking for - not sure if the "exotic dancers" are still there but it has a warm feeling to it with locals who are friendly and staff that do a great job. you are close to the town centre as well so if you need to get your groove on just take a 5 min walk and you can continue the madness!!

The Lukin - Fitzrovia

I also attended the Qype Olympics and had a good night....the function room is ample in size and the staff are friendly. I was impressed by the staff when they let me take my son (10) in there so we could finish our drinks and the Olympics games. It isn't a standout venue but perfect for the after work tipple and a good old chin wag!

The Swan - Mansfield

This was by far the best night out I have had in ages.......to see a bar which is swamped 6/7 deep usually puts me off but the service is brilliant and the staff are always smiling:)) It must also hold the European record for the most amount of gorgeous girls under one roof!......seriously fellas this is a must see and I am still staggered by the place......will def go back again and if the Russian girl I was dancing with reads this she should post her number for me! Thanks for a great night!

The Clapham Grand - Clapham

I had the pleasure of going here the other Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The music is happy go lucky and the atmosphere is easy to run along with. The staff are friendly and you never have to wait too long for a drink…..this is not because it is empty by the way they are just efficient. Keep up the good work guys and we’ll see you soon!!

The Ship - Marlow

good atmosphere, good beer – slightly expensive as it is not the “trendy bar” type – more like the cosy locals pub with an open fire and a friendly face – just opened a “pizza bar” there as well so you can watch your favourite pepperoni passion being cooked whilst watching the sports, playing pool or sitting chatting in front of the fire. Beer garden is nice and is a must for the summer while the BBQ sizzles away! Kids are welcome but you do get the feeling that the locals would rather not have them there – although it would never be said it is pretty much a 28+ crowd – well worth a trip if you are in Marlow town.

Great Portland Street Station - Fitzrovia

The staff here are really helpful, especially when you have forgotten to swipe your oyster at paddington! Paddington staff won’t even let you through the barrier to top your oyster up so that you can travel on the tube – I get a train from Marlow every morning and nown again my oyster has run out (my fault i know) so instead of letting me through to top it up the staff at paddington suggested that I searched through the bin on the train that I had got from Marlow for my ticket that got me to paddington – ony then could I go through to top my oyster up – great work gentlemen, customer service at it it’s finest – we are all guilty until proven innocent! Go to great portland where they will teach you true customer service and customer understanding! keep up the good work GPS staff!!

alexsheppard Always nice to hear about helpful staff on the tube!

went here yesterday to support rememberance day…..the atmosphere was fantastic, the people are great and there was no end of fundraidsing for the heroes of days gone by, keep up the good work and I hope you raised all that you needed. A 5 star effort all round!

anybody who knows anything about food will like this place – I ordered a take out and it was ready on time and delicious on the palatte! The only small gripe and this is an easy fix…..can the queue for the collections be seperate from the queue that walk in orders are in? It would stop the blockade at the door and there would be no “shuffling” to free up space for the arrivals and departures! Great food and great prices xx
