My Daughter visited the restaurant with 7 of her friends on her birthday. It stated on the menu that the birthday person would receive a main course pudding and a drink on production of proof of birthday. Certain items were excluded from this offer which is fair enough. On payment of the bill only her main course was deducted. I went to collect her and went inside to ask why they had not kept to their agreement and was told by a very rude and abrupt woman that the manager had left and that I had to come back the next day. I was a little more persistant and was then told that they could change their offer at any time and that a deduction had been made equivalent to the price of the main meal. I asked to see the menu to see where it stated that they reserve the right to change this offer and was told I was not allowed to see one. I said that it was against trading standards to offer something in writing and then not carry out the agreement. This was met with a shrug of the shoulders and a reply of " Trading standards have nothing to do with us, so go and see them" This very rude person then ignored me whilst I was trying to continue our conversation and walked away from me. I followed her and asked for the name of the person I needed to see the next day and she refused to even give me a name. I gave up at this point and left.
I will be writing to trading standards about this matter. The money is not the issue here, it works out to about £7, it is the principal, and the fact that this person was so rude and obnoxious. I can’t really comment on the food as I did not eat any. However my daughter said it was nothing special and the portions were quite meagre.
So marks out of 10…….
Customer service Zero
Value for money Zero
Friendliness of staff Zero
Atmosphere Zero
I will never ever set foot in the place again, and would have thought in these times of austerity that an establishment would want to encourage repeat business not alienate their customers.
NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL !!!!!!

Visited the cave a couple of weeks ago. Fairly dissapointed on the whole. We got the same tourguide as 'Profairy' and found him boring not just monotunous. He even rebuffed one lady for asking a question whilst half way through his talk in the dining cave! Toilet facilities are like something I would expect at a football ground in the 1970's Gents toilet consisted of a trough that only gets flushed when it rains. The gift shop was Ok but the staff are obviously related to Mr grumpy tour guide as they were not much better. A cup of tea for 80p seemed a good idea until it arrived in a very small plastic cup that would normally come out of a machine, this was only about 3/4 full as well.
On the whole not impressed with the whole experience and at £25 for a family ticket I really did expect a little more in the way of modern toilets and a decent cup of tea, with friendly staff! We will not be going again!
