Overpriced and soul-less. It is busy on the weekends though as it is the only place in the town that sells itself as a bar and not a pub. Therefore those looking for a more ‘swanky’ night out will go here to look like they are well off, and lads go as it is the place in Bexhill that is most appealing to girls.

Best pub in town, nice traditional atmosphere, well served guiness and harveys, warm and cosy

Great food, really good food! Nice selection of drinks, reasonably priced and great for families in the summer with it’s huge kids play area! Staff are ok, food is good though!

Probably one of the best pubs in Bexhill (however that statement in itself means very little taking into account the competition!) great ales and a good selection of other drinks all with a stunning view of the sea, if you were any closer you’d be in it! Nice staff too. However i cannot speak for the ladies lavatories, but the men’s doubles as a sauna, it seems to be maintained at about 30 degrees!

Overpriced. Staff are unsure of what ham is, and unaware of the difference between the different salads on their own menu. Ordered food thrice, still waiting for sandwiches that require no cooking, 20 minutes later. Tea is PG tips at £2.50 a pot. Nice tea pot though

Too busy, front bar is inaccessible when sporting events are on tv, and boisterous shouting scares the bejesus out of you when they are! waiting time for food exceeds an hour, and if you arrive a nanosecond after 2:30 they will not serve food. Nice patio though

Great pub, very deceptive from its exterior, was expecting a frosty reception as a stranger to what is obviously predominantly a local, however that was not the case. It has a good choice of ales, an almost modern and airy interior whilst still reflecting that of a 'real drinkers pub’ and a brilliant sun trap garden with enough heaters to extend summer evenings hours after sundown. Food is a little pricy, but you are getting a fine example of pub food for the money! the lesson learnt from this place is “Don’t judge a book by its cover”

food is excellent, staff are very helpful, were this not a chain and as a result unimaginative and rather soul-less it would have an extra star. you could easily have a date here as much as a catch up with old friends, bit pricy but worth a visit if your pocket can handle it.

I have an unexplainable afinity for this place, perhaps it because I see such potential! There is a lot of space, especially if you include the seldom used upstairs part. great potential for live music but when they do it there the space is utilized in such a way I cannot understand. regardless, when I have seen live music there the atmosphere was great, reminiscent of a niche’ london venue. Average drink selection, and the management sometimes focus a little too much on socialising with their friends, but its somewhere you can go on a Friday or Saturday and be confident that all in your group will get to sit down! The burgers are brilliant (love Brie n Bacon.) Toilets are mank however and they lose a star for just how bad they are, however on the whole the good outweighs the bad, especially as unexplainably it is never that busy!

Easily one of the best pubs in Eastbourne, great mix of characters there, becomes busy like any other on a Friday or Saturday evening, but is generally far more pleasent to be in than the others in town. Nice garden area for the good weather, only gripe is that they don’t serve food beyond 5pm!
