If your a fan of Italian food or have never tried it before and fancy something different your reading the right review. If your celebrating something and planing a large group meal don’t take your eyes of this page! Serve well prepared Italian food with a very good selection to choose from. Whether your vegetarian or love your meat you can’t go wrong with this venue. They do have a selection of pizza’s to. I had the Lasagne make sure you leave space in your stomach your want to eat what you pay for with this venue. Great place to start if it’s a starter to a later evening cocktail bar/party or any where where its going to be a few drinks and good conversation/networking. Staff are friendly and they have a regular singer to add atmosphere. You can go as a group of mates, family or as a couple.

Quite a cosy Cafe’ regular expected prices of a Cafe’ Not all their foods are food you would come back for (pizza, Quater pounders) but I must admit they do a fantastic 'codfish, chips and salad. So the food’s not the best but i havent tasted all their dishes I’ll give an update to this review next week as I’ll be eating there for a further week any way it has a nice atmosphere and is always clean customer services isn’t bad and to give you a clue where it is it’s on the right hand side of the Bobby Moore Statue in Upton Park Barking Road right behind that bus stop you can’t miss it. Any way all I have right now but watch this space I will be updating!!
The update: they do a fish burger and chips meal which actually tasted quite nice. A bit disappointed when I asked for what looked like a sandwich french style more banguette which had salad and melted cheese it looks better then is sounds… they didn’t have any picture there as bold as brass but not it wasn’t to be…

East Ham Market Black Afro Caribbean Hair Salon(s)
As known by Afro-Caribbean women getting your hair done at the hair dressers isn’t cheap hence the reason most people get those who know how to do hair as friends or family to do it either for free or you may pay them a little something because after all they did take the time to do your hair so. But either way you’re not paying an arm and an leg in order to get your hair done. Although sometimes the people you want to do your hair aren’t always available to give you that time to do your hair so you find yourself in a rut and may have to take the drastic root of going to the hairdressers!!! Something I had to do a little while ago but fear not prices aren’t as bad as one would think. East ham market have two hairdressers both very nice both very friendly last I checked there was a difference in price so it’s up to you to find the salon best priced for you I’ve seen the work they’ve both done and they do professional jobs the average price is £70 they would not charge you £70 the price range would be from £40 -65 depending on what you want that’s the average cost of braids. Cornrow would be around £15-35 pounds depending on if you want extension Cornrow, natural cornrow of course if you can by all means get a friend or relative to do it but if you do go to the hairdressers you can now save yourself at least an arm rather then sacrificing both your arm and leg.
Trust me both these salons do stand out.

Wing Wah - Stratford

Wing Wah is a take away. They don't take long to prepare food and during your wait they have a little TV in the corner of the room that you can actually hear, it's usually on the sports channel so it's a good catch up while you wait or if your not a football fan there are interesting features all along the walls so i'm sure something will catch you attention. This is mainly an evening opening take away. A tip I've learnt if your a chinese fan and you want the best of the best if your early on your food come a good bit after the time they open, that way you can be sure you won't get left overs as by the time you get there in order to serve you they would of had to prepare a new tasty batch. You can usually tell by the waiting time.

As you know when you walk out on to the street see your friends people passing you by people aren’t really going to stop turn over the labels in your shirt and shout out ‘cheap skate, saw it on the stool for £2’ Even if that happened how would they know it’s on the Stool for £2? If you get anything for that price you’ve snagged a bargain but that price even on the market is unlikely although you could get the right real mc coy sports labels such as Nike, addidas or something a little more sophisticated like Ecko and Lot29’s but you got to know what your looking for the signs of ‘authenticity’ or you could find it’s cheap because it’s fake. But if like me you want to look good but not break the bank it doesn’t hurt to have a good look every now and again not all the time just every now again because you never know what you might find the thing with this market is it’s quite a one off as there are different stools on different days which means your not going to see the same thing twice, so if you see something you like don’t think twice.
Romford Market - Romford

Very specific go there know what you want type of market they have a sports stall that stress their sports wear are real but don’t charge the same retail price for their garments. Authenticity is presented if asked for so if you feel ‘I really don’t reckon these are real’ express yourself. There is a shoe stall that sell boots and shoes for women, let you try on the shoes/boots then and there see if they fit, and again good prices not your regular retail price. They have stools that sell woman’s clothes even down to lingerie. I think the main thing about this market is the confidence they have with what they are selling, something you don’t get or not in my experience from the high street retail establishments. And if your feeling a bit peckish there is a caravan usually in the corner 3 quarter pounders or hotdogs with onions and all the sauce good stuff you will not be hungry after that. Opens Wednesdays, Fridays (8.30am-4.30pm) and Saturdays (8.30am-5pm).

Great venue for professional meetings, forums, conferences and functions (Middle Entrance into the building) I say that because it’s a very professional and well maintained building. Up stairs is like a mini version of ‘The House of Parliament’ so if your talking political. As soon as you walk in through the middle entrance though the double door on the left to the enquiry desk is the Lister room very spacey and great if you’re looking to have a big group. Next entrance is great for fun events performances and information fairs (Right Entrance into building). Or maybe your not looking for any such thing and you’ve left your course work to the last minute and your legging it down to the (Left Entrance into building) Library? To finish your work? No…just me? The shame… the shame well as you walk in your see stairs to your left but we’ll go there later. Downstairs is the children’s section and teenage fiction not the biggest library and it closes at FIVE with no day where it actually stays open that bit later so if your coming from school or work your not going to have any time to get anything done. Oh yeah upstairs is the reference library a place to study use the computer and read the paper. If you choose to want to study here I mean it come early time waits for no man. You can’t miss this building because it’s famous for its giant clock that dings every hour so if your making your way there for any reason you’ll know if you’re on time.

Not the politest of restaurants. However they do produce very good food tasty Caribbean food that’s an area you won’t be let down you can come for a course meal, takeaway or you could come for their buffet either way your be well feed. The worst thing is they don't always have exactly what you ask for if they've run out a certain dish because you've come late it's like on a first come first serve basis. Restaurant is usually clean. Very nicely set out with pictures and works of art on the wall representing the Caribbean. Nice colour scheme they’ve kept it basic. Nice wooden tables matching chairs. Energy you’d have to bring your self if you were to go with a partner or one of your friends, the restaurant gives of quite a serious feel.
Green Man Pub - Beckton
Upton Park, London E6 5JQ

Now if you’re a party person and you like to have a good time but you don’t really want to pay a fortune to do so a good place as a go between or if your moving on to bigger and better say central London then this is a great place to prepare as they’re not over the top so you can go and have a quiet drink a little bit later say after 9/10pm they charge on the door play R&B hip hop and the atmosphere is live. So if you want a bit of energy before you arrive at Central Green gates the place to be.
The Goose - Stratford

This is really what they call ‘an old man’s pub’ but the best thing about this pub is they serve lunch for a very good price and they have promotional discounts on pints and larger so you can have a drink and it won’t cost you near enough £5 they’re toilets are nice and spacious. It’s along the line of o many other venues and so therefore it’s a great place to be at, at anytime early or late and move on when your ready the staff appreciate their older customers always asking and seeing if they’re ok the people and staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome.
