Mural - Shanghai

Yongjia Road 697, Shanghai

Although kind of an institution, I think it's more for the younger crowd. Last time I went it was totally empty and the music was pretty bad. But if it's your scene, you might as well go for it on their drinks special night and just suffer the consequences the next day.

P.S. Attica has been closed for ages. Possibly days after the last review was written. :)

Jin Mao Tower 金贸大厦 - Shanghai

Heya, If the JinMao was the only other 'attraction' in Shanghai, it doesn't sound like you had much fun here! Sorry to hear that. Not that I'm the ambasadorial type, but I do like it when people have a good time.

I did want to point out though, that in general we refer to it as 'the beer opener' and not 'the handbag' although I totally see where that comes from. Or there is a whole other group of people who refer to it as 'the handbag' and we've never met.

James Smith It's a subjective statement. Assuming one is a tourist, or at least hoping for a taste of Chinese history and culture, then Shanghai has comparatively little to offer, it must be said. However should one be attracted by familiar Western-style shops, bars, nightclubs, etc. and has huge amounts of money to spend then Shanghai will surely not disappoint.
