    Bibas Hair & Beauty

Pretty good salon close to the Brunswick centre and amenities of Bloomsbury. I have only ever visited for hair cuts though they do a range of other waxing and beauty services.

My haircut the first time I visited was great - the stylist was friendly and recommended a great product for my hair; letting me test it out to see what I thought. Unfortunately the next time I visited even though I had the same stylist the cut wasn’t as good and this has made me look for another salon.

The prices were average and it is quite easy to get an appointment. I would recommend it if you are looking for a simple haircut and friendly staff. They are also one of the only stockists of Aveda products in the area so a good place to pop in to pick up supplies of their haircare products as they have a good selection.

    Essensuals

Came here to get my hair cut as they were open after my work nearby finished at 6pm. Paid for their top stylist/director to do my hair as I wanted to get a nice haircut. I was rushed through the consultation they promised me and ended up coming out with hair not dissimilar from when I entered, just slightly trimmed.

Obviously they had no idea how to cut curly hair as over the next weeks my hair split at the ends and just looked frizzy - had to have another hair cut just to sort it out.

There are lots of other hair dressers in Camden and I visited Essensuals because they are branded as being a premium haridressers; I had visited the one in Islington and had a really great haircut there before.

I won’t bother to visit Essensuals again and I can’t recommend visiting these jokers to anyone else; avoid.

If i could give it less than 1 star I would.

Great shop selling sauces, marinades and snakcs and ingredients from China, Thailand and Japan.

Great place to pick up some unique gifts like fortune cookies or cooking ingredients and utensils. The cafe is great as well and serves a selections of different Asian fusion foods to eat in or take away.

    Russell Square

    1pxt Leonie_Heyer last updated on 18-11-2008:

The square was recently refurbished based on the original designs but with the addition of a modern fountain that changed height and is popular with birds.

The square is very tranquil and there are lots of benches and it is a good size. In the summer it is very popular with tourists and school trips who picnic here after visiting the British Museum. Luckily there is space for everyone. There is a small cafe in the NW corner that serves all the usual cafe fare and is OK value for money. They have seating inside and out which gets popular in the summer.

A nice square to visit if you are close by and fancy resting a while in a relatively tranquil park area.

    Creme de la Crepe

There are not many good crepe places in London - this little stall always sells quality sweet/savoury crepes and the prices are good (especially when you are looking for a snack while you browse Borough Market.

Staff are friendly and helpful and there are benches nearby you can enjoy your crepes on.

A simple concept, well executed and I hope they do well!
