Queens Gardens - Hull
City Centre, Hull HU1 3RQ
08-05-2011
Hull is lucky to have these extensive gardens right in the City Centre. Formally the Dock (first opened in 1776), then the Old Dock and then Queen's Dock, it was filled in 1930 and gardens laid out. The present layout dates from the early 1960s.
During the summer it's a popular place for eating packed or takeaway lunches and informal games. The space is also used for events such as the Freedom Festival in September.
HMS Warrior - Portsmouth
Victory Gate, Portsmouth PO1 3QX
08-05-2011
The visit to HMS Warrior is the best thing in Portsmouth Dockyard. You can wonder around the ship and ask the well-informed attendants about the ship. Much better than he Victory where you will be whisked round by a serving RN rating who doesn't know much more than he has been incorrectly informed.
Chinese Fishing Nets - Kochi
Kochi

Tea Bungalow - Kochi
Kunumpuram 1/1901, Fortkochi-682001, 682001 Kochi

We were very pleased with ths hotel in Fort Kochi. It was very tastefully converted from a colonial era building (1912). The staff, food and facilities were all first rate and the hotel is ideally placed to explore historic Fort Kochi. The rooms are extremely comfortable. Free Wi=Fi!
