Terra Mitica has to be the best theme park in Europe bar none.
The park itself is split into five sections; Greece, Egypt, Iberia, Islands and Rome. Each section has its own themes rides and attractions. The park does have rides for all age groups but I would advise against taking very young childeren as it is a long day and during peak season getting some shade can me quite a task.
I find the food to be overpriced but just about edible. Picking up a packedlunch from the indoor market on the way would be better. I would also advise you do not buyyour tickets via your travel agent as the bars in and around benidorm have the better deals.

Morgans is a fantastic bar/entertainment venue.
Like the hotel sol pelicanos ocas this also fetures in the comedy 'benidorm’ as the 'captains table’ nightspot
Every night they have 5-6 diffrent acts on varying from tribute bands to sticky vicky to comedy acts.
The bar itself looks like a boat from the outside with lots of wood and ship based memorabilia inside.
Drinks are either ar the bar of there is also table service.

The famous John and Joseph’s. Full english Breakfast is only 2 euros. Food is surpiringly good.
I would suggest you get there quite early because getting a table at teatime can often be a problem.
The actual cafe is always clean and tidy, Menu doesn’t have a huge selection and it is more the chips sausage and beans than a la carte but for the prices its worth it.

Stayed here 4 times so far. The hotel is fabulous. The foyer is breathtaking.
The rooms themselves are clean and bright, are a reasonable size and each room has its own balcony.
The food is good but inall honesty I have noticed it deteriorating from the standard it was at 4 years ago.
I always stay all inclusive and I feel it represents good value although the mid afternoon snacks tends to be lunchs leftovers.
Four stars, two years ago it would of been five.

Benidorm is a resort that seems to attract alot of bad publicity and has a bit of a reputation for being full of chavs. Those that seem to say that however tend to have never been there. I would not describe myself as a chav yet I holiday there with my family twice a year and my parents own a villa literally a 5 minute stroll from Mundomar.
Benidorm itself is divided into two sections, old town and new town. The newtown is very built up and tends to have the highrise hotels, night clubs and british bars. The old town is the traditional spanish town with narrow streets and hotels on a much lower level.
Each side of town has its pluses and minuses but in my opinion the better entertainment is in the new town.

I stayed in the Hotel Sol Pelicanos Ocas In Late October 2008. This hotel may appear to be familiar to some of you as it is the setting for the ITV Comedy 'Benidorm’ with Jonny Vegas.
The hotel itself is actually two seperate hotels with indepent receptions and dining rooms but with shared leisure facitilies.
The rooms are decent sized, clean and basically furnished. There is a daily maid service.
Food is ok but not that great if you attend closer to the end of the dining times. Seafood figured quite heavilly while were were there which did not appeal to my husband as he hates the stuff. If you also dislike seafood then the range of meals was limited.
