pizza express - Wimbledon
104 The Broadway, Wimbledon, London SW19 1RH
23-05-2009
Busy small restaurant. We waited at the door to be seated and a woman in a push chair pushed past and seated herself first. Apparently this is what we had to do. We ordered drinks 15 min wait then ordered food… over an hour wait! Service really was poor, we ordered a pizza and a salad to share and asked if the pizza could be cut in half. So he massacred our pizza and split unevenly across two plates. Would NEVER go back.

Always busy on a Friday or Saturday Night, be prepared to wait 5/10 mins at the bar but a good atmosphere, drinks aren’t amazing expensive house wine is £10.50 last time I went in. Seating is really nice and comfy as well, good place to relax and have a chat with friends only open until 11pm though.
Town Hall Birmingham - Birmingham

Went here recently for the Nick Drake Tribute. Had been looking for a concert that was showing as I really wanted to see what the venue would be like. It’s just as good as I imagined as well. Comfy seats well air conditioned made for a really enjoyable experience.. acoustics were good as well sounded brill!
Symphony Hall Birmingham - Birmingham

Comfy seats and good acoustics, this is a great venue. It’s located not far from Brindley place which is perfect for eating beforehand or drinking afterwards and is only a 10 minute walk from New Street Train Station. Air conditioned and always clean and calming.

Went here as a large group for a friends birthday, it was a bit slow as is always expected when there’s a lots of people, but everyone got their food at the same time and the orders were all correct. The staff were friendly enough and the atmosphere was nice, I think people use the buy one get one free cocktail offer on a friday evening and that makes it busy so not for a romantic meal. Food was tasty though - not massive portions but average and enough for me!
Bar Estilo - Birmingham
110 Wharfside Street, Birmingham, West Midlands B1 1RB

I’ve been to Bar Estilo twice. Once when I organised a Team Christmas Party and then once afterwards I took a friend for her birthday there because I was so impressed. Really friendly helpful staff, you’re left to relax and not rushed in any way. I have only eaten the tapas there but I enjoyed it but it’s really the friendly atmosphere that makes it such a nice place
PizzaExpress - Birmingham

Pizza Express is a chain, but that doesn’t mean every restaurant you go in will be the same standard. I would recommend this particular location though. The staff are particulary friendly and helpful, they are happy to take any vouchers and don’t try and push any extra on you. The location is perfect as well - Ask for a table upstairs if it’s open for a nice view.
Atlas Cars - Birmingham

I use Atlas all the time in Birmingham - they arrive quick and have friendly drivers who don’t mind you chatting to them and don’t overcharge.
The Rope Walk - Birmingham
16 St. Pauls Square, Birmingham, West Midlands B3 1RB

Nice location at St Pauls Square, slightly out of Birmingham and slightly more expensive which weeds out the binge drinkers slightly and give a much more relaxed environment. This is still a pub though and fun - staff are friendly too.
Utopia The Bar - Birmingham
16 Church Street, Birmingham, West Midlands B3 2NP

Nice place for an evening drink, cosy seats and warm. Drink is over average price, but worth the bit extra for the relaxed environment. Food however is overpriced and not that great, would only recommend as an evening bar.
