They coat their chips in a type of batter. I personally love the chips from here. They are well cooked and look dry. You can sit in and eat or takeaway.
You have a choice of special meals too if you sit down, like 2 (smallish) fish and chips for £5.

Chips are always on the light side of being cooked. They can be very good or they can be greasy soft and awful. It is a bit of a gamble. Saying this, they are more often than not - good.
Fish is good size and have never had a bad one.

This pub has a Chinese flavour to it. You can eat in (well you can try, because it is always full !), or get a takeaway.
The food is always wonderful. It is very busy, but you can always have a decent pint while you wait for your order.

When this place opened, it looked like a large canteen. Since then, it has been changed to have a seated area, this does look lots better.
The lunch time menu is cheaper, but not much on it tho.
The evening menu is very good, food is always excellent.
They have a loyalty card, remember to get it stamped. Every 10 stamps gives you a free meal.
The staff are very friendly and they are big supporters of local events, like the Nuneaton Carnival.

had a carvery at the jailhouse, what can I say but - wow! good size plate and whatever you wanted. lovely meal in good setting. even has a pianist playing on their baby grand piano. highly reccomended.
