martabelle-k - London

This is a fantastic little gastro deli in the heart of Hackney wick run by Martin and Isabella, a really charming and cheerful couple who always make you feel at home in an instant. The icing on the cake is that they are both excellent cooks, Martin brings a Swiss flavour to the table and Isabella brings her French flavours which is a very interesting combination of influences.

I've had their mackerel sandwich which is really tasty and healthy. Their coffee is really great as well as the many other options on the menu, from breakfast and lunch to cakes! They always have a selection of daily newspapers which are great to have a snoop over. Keep up the good work guys.

La Forchetta Bar and Club - Bethnal Green

464 Bethnal Green Road, Bethnal Green, London E2 0EA

Really good Italian pizza at an affordable price. I often come here after checking out some shows in Viner street on a Thursday night with a friend and the quality of the food is always great. The decor isn't amazing but who cares about the decor when the food and company is good and you are getting value for your money. The wine here is not of a great standard but you cant have everything i suppose. They also serve pastas here.

LMNT - Dalston

316 Queensbridge Road, London E8 3NH

I've been here twice now and have had two very different experiences. The first time I came here was with a huge group of people for a birthday party. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was lovely, I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection. The decor is fab, Egyptian style, the highlight being the racy drawings on the toilet walls and the unusual seating areas like the giant pot which me and some friends sat in the second time i came here, this time the vibe was different, it was a Tuesday night and the waiter who was possibly the owner was downright rude, when i asked him a question about the menu. I ordered the duck which was served with carrot and apple puree which was delectable. Shame about the service but overall top class food.

Meeeeeee He said to me he is the owner. And i agree with you. He has no idea about costumer service.

London Marriott Hotel Regents Park - Primrose Hill

128 King Henry's Road, London NW3 3ST

I came here recently to use the leisure club with a friend and had the most relaxing day, the sauna and steam room are right next to the swimming pool which is nice and the pool is located at ground level which means there is plenty of natural light coming in. The staff are really friendly, even the cleaning lady in the dressing room was lovely.
I would highly recommend it.

Monmouth Coffee shop - London Bridge

Borough High Street, Just inside Borough Market, London SE1 1TS

05-02-2010

I would go as far to say that Monmouth coffee is the best coffee in London! they sell all sorts of fresh coffee in brown bags which smells amazing. I love getting a quick expresso to drink as I wander or more like buzz around the market on a weekday!

Yoh Sushi Selfridges London - Mayfair

400 Oxford Street, London W1C 2PL

mmmm. put some sushi in front of me and I'm a very happy lady indeed! this place doesn't disappoint.... the sushi is great quality.. the staff are inviting and friendly and when you finish you can stroll around the many departments that is selfridges...

Tay Do Cafe - Shoreditch

65 Kingsland Road, London E2 8AG

05-02-2010

I've been here a few times and have mixed feeling about the place, while the food is really great and cheap, i always get the feeling i'm being rushed... probably because the place is always so busy as they do a roaring trade... also the last time i came in here was a Thursday evening and i could hardly hear what my friend was saying because it was so noisy which was distracting and frustrating.

Pierre Victoire Restaurant - Soho

5 Dean Street, Soho, London W1D 3RQ

01-02-2010

I came here for my birthday this year in January with a group of 10 friends, I was a bit late (one has to be fashionably late for their birthday) but the staff were cool about it. On a Saturday night the place is jam packed, the wine is flowing and there is a great buzz about the place.

I loved the french music the piano man was playing when i arrived, he played some beautiful tunes from the film Amelie which i love by Yann Tiersen. Oh la la!

The food was amazing, I had the tuna steak with chorizo, it's pretty reasonably priced too which was cool and we got a 25% discount as I had a view card (which you can download from view london website)

Voila!

Deliverance - Westminster

Multiple Sites, London

01-02-2010

I love ordering from Deliverance because of the variety of food they have to offer and because the quality of the food is fantastic. If you have trouble making up your mind what type of cuisine you would like then this is the best place to go as they have it all
from French, Italian, English, American, Japanese, Mexican, Indian, to Chinese....I've had their tuna steak burger and the chill which were yummy. I highly recommend this place!

Trojka Russian Restaurant - Primrose Hill

101 Regent's Park Road, London NW1 8UR

01-02-2010

I love this little Russian Tea Room. I've been here a few times with friends and have always enjoyed myself here. The last time I was here I was sitting down with my friends drinking tea and eating cake when we suddenly became star struck when we saw Alex James from Blur. Well we were all massive blur fans when we were younger and well the thought of him sitting next to us playing chess with himself was kind of exciting.

The interior is really cosy and decorated with traditional Russian dolls.
