Govinda's Restaurant - Soho

10 Soho Street, London W1D 3DN

14-11-2007

If you want something really nutritious to eat come here, centrally located in Soho. Here you will find everyting is freshly prepared and feels like a new food experience as the food is so wholesome and delicious. There is even a Hare Krishna shop upstairs where you can buy all sorts of things.

Stables Market Camden - Camden

Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8AH

14-11-2007

A geat way to spend any day of the week really, I love coming here for the variety of clothesin the vintage shops, the food in the food market which they sell for £2-£3 at the end of the day!
For the lovely palm reader Brigit who is always at the ready to do an insightfull reading.
It's a great place to come if you have a low attention span as there is so much to do and see here you will be entertained for hours! If you have not already been then go!

Hot Pepper Jelly - Crouch End

11 Broadway Parade, London N8 9DE

14-11-2007

I came across this cafe last Saturday morning on my way to do a spot of shopping in the local charity shops. This cafe is in the heart of Crouch End, the atmosphere is really laid-back & the staff are really friendly.
Great menu of sandwiches and cakes - I ordered the smoaked salmon on ciabatta and salad which was great and the coffee was great too. Prices are a tad on the high side but the quality of the food is reflected in the price. An absolutely perfect stop in the middle of Saturday shopping.

Habitat - Westminster

12 GUERSANT, PARIS, London SW1P 3JX

14-11-2007

They have a great selection here and the layout of the space is quite nice. I always like to head straight for the lighting section upstairs to heat up on a cold day! the staff in this section are really friendy as well! Some evenings they have special late evenings for the customers where you can get a goody bag and some nice cocktails.

Marine Ices - Chalk Farm

8 Haverstock Hill, London NW3 2BL

This is one of the best ice cream parlours in London i’ve been to so far. They serve the most delicious frozen delights you could ever imagine! You can buy a cone or tub from the kiosk facing the road, or sit inside to experience the vast array of ice cream desserts. Yum yum yum! a lovely way to end a hot summers day after a picnic in Primrose Hill.

Sketch Lecture Room & Library - Mayfair

9 Conduit Street, Mayfair, London W1S 2XZ

12-11-2007

I first came here on a first date some few months ago, he certainly impressed me with his choice of venue for the evening.

We had a cocktail in the space ship bar first and then went on the restaurant where we had a really nice and pricy (well I wasnt paying the bill so it was ok) meal with a bottle of wine.

Each area has its own stylish atmosphere,

The highlight really has to be the memorable egg-shaped toilets. The architecture of which are absolutely amazing!

This is a great place to come for an extra special evening.

Cyberdog - Camden

The Stables Market Chalk Farm Road, Camden, London NW1 8AH

This place is so crazy!
It has an nteresting range of futuristic fashion, cyber-cafe, works of technological art. Techno music constantly blares from the speakers! worth a look for entertainement value if not to pick up some funky alternative clubbing gear!

le_gourmet who dog what dog where dog cyber who?

Royal Albert Hall - Knightsbridge

Kensington Gore, South Kensington, London SW7 2AP

12-11-2007

The Royal Albert Hall is one of the most amazing venues in London. The first time I was in the Royal Albert Hall was to see Erasure this year. I was astounded by the sheer vastness of the place, the opulant gold and blood red decor throughout! Oh and Erasure were great too!

First opened in 1871! Each year it hosts more than 350 performances including classical concerts, rock and pop, ballet and opera, tennis, award ceremonies, school and community events, charity performances and lavish banquets.

Well worth a visit!

Sadlers Wells Theatre - Clerkenwell

Roseberry Ave, Clerkenwell, London EC1R 4TN

12-11-2007

I've only been here once before but it's a really great Theatre.
the only downside is the bar. The bar staff were quite slow and drinks are expensive.
The crowd is very much upper class.
I would recommend getting a good seat as the seats we had were in the stalls and we couldnt see the top bit of the stage. So book in advance.

The Lock Tavern - Camden

35 Chalk Farm Road, Camden, London NW1 8AJ

I used to go to this pub all the time when I lived in Camden. I loved going there duing the week with a friend sitting upstairs on the leather sofa sipping Frili (that yummy strawberry flavoured beer that tasts like heaven) they have a cool beergarden thats great for those hot days! I tend to avoid this place at weekends as it's always jam packed! The music is always really good, the crowd = trendy Camden heads!
