My fiancee and I called into Aidan Brennan jewellers when we had just begun shopping for my wedding band. I had no idea what I wanted but the young woman in the shop was very, very helpful and patient – Aidan Brennans was the first jewellers we looked in and it appealed to us as it was a local small business and we would have preffered to give it our business rather than a large chain. I went back to Aidan Brennans to have another look at the ring that I had liked most the first day but unfortunatley the woman who assisted us on the second day was not as helpful, in fact she seemed put out by having to help us. She gave us short, hurried answers to our questions and frankley seemed exasperated by us as if she had something better to do and we were delaying her! When we told her the date of our wedding she said we were too early looking for rings and so ended the discussion. It was clear she didn’t want to help us and actually seemed to want us out of the shop! Maybe it was because we were casually dressed down in hoodies and tracksuits bottoms (being the Christmas holidays we were relaxing but both hoodies were Abercrombie!!). Whatever the reason all the good work of the first sales assistant was undone and I’m sad to say Aidan Brennans will never receive our business again.
