You can’t miss the Fiddler’s, it’s right in front of you as you turn left out of St Edmund’s Road on to Wellingborough Rd, there’s plenty of parking near by and inside the Fiddler’s you’ll find they have a fantastic selection of food and drink in a warm friendly atmosphere.

The Interior of the pub’s just had a major refit and the new layout seems to work well both as a family friendly restaurant by day and a popular fun pub at night.

It’s open till about 2 AM Thursday, Friday and Saturday, which is later than most of the pubs down Welliy Rd and seems to make it a popular place to meet up. The rest of the time it’s open till midnight which is still handy to know if your having a mid week pub crawl.

The last time I went I took the family along for Sunday dinner. I was stunned by the size of the Sunday roast for under a fiver but my wife and I decided to go for a BBQ Ranch Burger and Chips, while the kids went for Gammon Steak, Steak & Ale Pie and Jacket Potato with Tuna Mayonnaise. All were quite large and delicious and not one of us could manage to fit in a dessert!
