Smilepod - Covent Garden

23 Rose Street, Covent Garden, London WC2E 9EA

11-02-2013

Wanted to get braces done and looked for something almost invisible (i.e. Invisalign). I went to see three practices, one of them smilepod at Covent Garden. The dentist looked at my teeth for about 5 minutes, then said it could most probably be done and all they needed to do was a more than 400£ screening to have a final decision — with the opportunity that it would not be possible.
Fortunately, I went to other dentists it turned out that in my case Ivisalign or similar methods weren't possible since I needed teeth extracted and other stuff done first.  If they were a good practise they would have known that AND would have told me before charging 400£.  Glad I didn't do it there.

Citi Studio London - London

4 Spital Square, Spitalfields, London E1 6DU

What was done?
Spent about 4 hours there, had three outfits and lots of photos.
How was the experience?
Although I'm not into modelling or anything related, I've done shootings before and this was not very professional. All girls I saw (4 all together, while waiting) had exactly the same styling --- no individual adjustment.  Positions for the photos were not discussed and followed a standard procedure, too.  Once they figured out that I had an amazon-local voucher they were considerably unfriendly, complimenting almost immediately outside. The initial price was relatively low and one photo included, each single photo after that was incredibly expensive (At another place, I had had a better shooting for the price of ONE photo of citi studio and could keep all 50 photos!). The pics weren't that good, mainly because there was no time to talk about my expectations and no sense for detail on side of the photographer.
Conclusion?
There are better studios to get your photos done and unless you want to be treated like on an assembly line (for whatever reason - I will not judge you) --- simply don't go there.
