    Top Shop

I love Topshop!!!! I started to shop here about 3 year ago, when i started as a student and had little spare money for clothes. One of my friends brought me here and i fell in love with it. There is no way someone could just go browsing in this store without walking out with something ( purchased and not stolen i hope!!!). The last time i went here, i came out with 2 pairs of jeans, a vest top, a necklace and a bangle, all for under £40. I was amazed.

I think topshop is famous for its accessories. i love that this store sells a large collection of accessories as well as the clothes, so you can plan a whole outfit without having to go to other stores. A blessing.

I find the staff reasonibly friendly. They always seem to be having a laugh, which is a good thing, but the staff can be hard to find if you have a query. When you do find one, they always seem willing to help, including going to the storeroom if you cant find something in your size.

This restaurant is not too far from my mates uni, so we decided to hold a surprise party here. If you want a table, you will need to call and reserve a little in advance, stating how many people. We had 20 and they were great as they put a few tables together so we could all sit together.

It was a great night. I think i had a prawn puri for starters, which was absolutely amazing. if you dont like your food too spicy then tell then whilst ordering as the prawn puri was really hot.

For the main course, i had the usual Chicken Biriyani. I always order this for some reason. I just think im a little too chicken to go for something i dont know. The biriyani was nice but the sauce that came with it was amazing. Good enough to eat on its own.

When it came to desert, we had bought our own cake, and they were good enough to dim the lights and bring it out for us, free of charge.

A very clean and modern place, i would definately recommend this place if you are going as a group on a fun night, or even if you want an intimate date there. A great place and would definately return with a doubt.

    Subway

    1pxt Pamela_T1 last updated on 16-10-2008:

Iam a big fan of subway but not of the prices. I always get the footlong roast beef with all the salad and chilli sauce and mayo. hmmmm….. yummy. But it does cost an arm and a leg. I dont know what fills me up more for the cost, the sub or a bigmac meal. But in terms of the healthy and more accepted by commuters on the tube, it has to be Subway all day long.

Always full of students, but these are the higher class of students. You rarely find a roudy crowd here. You always see the odd student checking through notes so its a cool place to sit in and eat if you are on a lunch break.

Damn… i can smell and taste the sub now and there is not one right near me…hmmm…. may have to start a petition to get a subway made in canning town. I dont know how if would fair against the KFC, McDonalds and many chicken and fish & chips shops around, but hey, its all about choice

    Somerfield

Not the largest of Somerfields but it definately does the best with the space its got. Does anyone remember how small it looked before the refurb??? Now it looks great. They seem to use the wall spaces well instead of leaving the stalls there, there are now shelving so you get alot more out of the wall spaces.

I aways find that somerfield seems to be really cheap. If you are on a budget, then somerfields does cater for you. They have a great range of basic food, especially the confectionary department, which is great if you want to have a kids party on a budget.

I actually found this place pretty cool. I love music and the louder the better for me. his is only if the DJs are actually skilled enough to mix live and not use CD’s. This place loves playing the old school dance and hip hop with a little new stuff thrown in.

Its not the greatest place to end the night, but the few times i have been, there were alot of good looking guys there. Was i lucky or was it a fluke?

The outside area is great, especially when you want to chat to friends rather than enjoy the music. And with the friendly staff, i think you could do alot worse than come here, although i dont think its good enough to be my regular haunt.
