So when a friend recommended I try out Mamsy's I was intrigued. So I went along with a friend of mine and instantly when walking in we were pleased! Greeted by the owner himself we were given our menus and seated. The walls are covered in local art and you can see the Thai chef cooking away in the back. Nas played in the background (instantly loved it at this point!) and we got to ordering the food.
The food was AMAZING! The first meal I have had outside of Thailand that is PROPER Thai food!! We gulfed down our Pad Thai's and our Kow Pad Kee Mow. The bill at the end of it was RIDICULOUSLY CHEAP!!! I literally could not believe my eyes!
It looks as though the owner here is really trying to make his mark and he certinally will. The vibe from Mamsy's is identical to those of Thai street cafe's and the food is on par if not BETTER than Thailand!
We have since been back 3 times in the space of 2 months! A real chilled out atmosphere and amazing food! A defo if you want some great food but none of the poncyness (not a word I know!) that goes with most Thai restaurants in Leeds.

The staff were very helpful in assisting us in our tour of the sights of York.
Room was clean and had a modern twist. We had dinner in one night and the beef bourguignon was to die for! Breakfast was also superb.
Would definitely recommend and will be staying again on our next trip to York.

He went to see Fiona and had a consultation and came home feeling very positive about how he was going to lose 2-3 stone. it wasn't easy but his regular sessions with Fiona really helped and would come back every time feeling so motivated.
He has hit his target weight and is a happier person. Couldn't recommend them enough.
This is not just another lose wight scheme. It really works! They run blood tests ans find out what foods don't work for your body and why. There were no food in shake things or tablets that promise the world. Just the right food for his body. And it worked wonders!

The New Yrs set menu was a taster menu so abit of everything Never tried sushi before so was abit apprehensive but actually liked it!
The chili squid was amazing! And beef fillet was cooked to perfection. The food just kept coming! Not that I'd complain!
And the dessert... well WOW! it came on this platter and the waiter poured something over it and it was looked amazing (something that looked like it had come out of Heston's restaurant!)
Price was very very reasonable for a new yrs set menu. Not sure what daily prices are like though.
Overall a great experience and we are returning in a few weeks with friends who have never been!

Very helpful in finding me the right property and when there were maintenance things to be done they were sorted very quickly and efficiently.
Would definitely recommend to students coming to Leeds. A great property company.

Paz1 I’m actually NOT an employee of Avtar thanks! I just wanted to let people know they are not all bad and I received great service from them. And I see I’m not the only one!

unhappyindeed the majority of these comments re Avtar are not good, students consistently complain of poor service and lack of respect for them by Avtar with property that is badly managed and badly maintained, it therefore is odd to read your comments and how great a service you enjoyed without suspected that you have a vested interest here.
we avoided Avtar and their poor service and respect for us by abandoning our tenacy and issuing legal proceedings against them, We are pleased that we stood up to them and we could not accept that we could be treated so badly.
No student deserves to be treated badly and without respect- this is not the 19th Century, tenants have rights and landlords have obligations.
And guess what the Court has now awarded in our favour against the owner of Avtar so we have been vindicated in our actions.
Good riddance to bad rubbish I say- I would seriously not recommend them to anyone but good luck to anyone who does. We found a far better landlord elsewhere almost immediately, they do exist in Leeds so why settle for any less.
