This is one of these rare finds, A traditional butcher selling excellent quality meat at a very reasonable price. Tasty chicken fillets (with no added water), lovely steak mince and pork loin. The Steak looked very appealing and well hung, will be trying this at the weekend. Word of warning they are "Cash Only" so make sure you take enough as you'll want to stock up! 

This café/takeaway is the hidden gem of Rodney Street, from hot rolls to baguettes and wraps they cannot be beaten on Value or taste. My personal favourite is the falafel wrap, a hearty filled wrap packed full of flavour. The home made soup is another firm favourite as is the Lasagne. They do fantastic Coffee and don’t charge any extra to sit in. The owners Maria & Jonathan give you such a warm welcome you feel part of the family.

I cannot recommend Maria’s Kitchen enough, try it and you’ll be hooked!

This butchers for me has sadly gone downhill. Having purchased oxtail which went off after two days and then mince which was full of bone fragments. They don’t seem concerned either, wrote to them enclosing fragments 4 wks ago, they did not even respond. Lesson learned: Deal with face to face. I am giving them 2 stars for their steak which is good, zero for customer service. I. family & friends will not be returning to this butchers.
