Lomography Gallery Store Central London - Soho

3 Newburgh St, London W1F 7RE

15-10-2010 (updated on 15-02-2011)

I have been in the Lomography Shop few times now and keep coming back. I love photography and it's my kind of place. Especially all those plastic-fantastic lomo and pinhole cameras are very charming, almost yummy.

The shop has a big selection of cameras and films, and the guys are very friendly. If you're into non digital photography - go there, even if only to look around and soak in this plastic, creative loveliness. Or get one of the cameras such as Diana Mini for £45 and go photo-crazy in the streets of London.

Geri Sancho I'll check it out!

Beigel Bake - Bethnal Green

159 Brick Lane, Shoreditch, London E1 6SB

25-01-2011

This is the only place I truly wish I was the leading Qype Champion of because it would mean I'd be visiting very often. The smoked salmon and cream cheese beigels are my favorite and the best edible thing on the planet.

If you're hungry and around - you have to go there and eat! If you are not hungry and around, well, you still should go there and eat. It's that good.

Kaffeine - Fitzrovia

66 Great Titchfield Street, London W1W 7QJ

29-10-2010

well, well, how come I didn't go to Kaffeine earlier.

It's a lovely place with heaps of fresh looking sandwiches and yummy cakes.
I was after lunch so eventually only enjoyed coffee (boy, it was lovely) but I am definitely coming back.

Lovely staff, and it looks you will be lucky to get a table, worth trying though.

Galeria Bali & Buddha Club - Warsaw

Jasna 22, Warszawa

Restauracja do której miło zajrzeć.

The Landseer - Holloway

37 Landseer Road, London N19 4JU

13-02-2008 (updated on 09-09-2010)

A very decent place, they serve beer which in itself isn't such a novelty but they always do it with a broad smile on their faces - nice folks - I think its run by some Saffas or they just work there but very friendly. They also have good food, nice comfy sofas and a cool area to enjoy sunshine outside. Worth visit if you go astray Holloway Road.

Dekadencja - Łódź

Piotrkowska 35, 90-410 Łódź

bardo przyjemna, klimatyczna, nieco ciemna, ale przytulna w wystroju herbaciarnia. Duży wybór tego właśnie trunku i do tego w ofercie słodycze do osłody. Idealne miejsce na randkę ;-) Bardzo miła obsługa.

Fabric - Farringdon

77a Charterhouse Street, Finsbury, London EC1M 6HJ

12-08-2010

Ben's Cookies - Oxford

108/109 Covered Market, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX1 3DZ

06-08-2010

This place is magical.
I arrived to Oxford late on a Saturday afternoon and immediately went for a walk. I noticed that most places were already closed or strangely empty (it was raining), it even flashed into my mind I must have arrived to the "wrong Oxford" as I couldn't see any tourists.
And then I saw it: The Covered Market and the queue of people so long it must have actually exceeded the small city's population.
As it turned out, all those people were waiting patiently to get the taste of the Ben's Cookies. So did I and, oh boy .. yes, I admit it, I did feel peckish but the taste of those cookies was simply fantastic.
Covered with thick layer of gorgeous chocolate I thought I died and was in heaven, my date was eating the same version but with some extra nut topping; she is usually very eloquent but what I could hear now was only: "oh-oh, miam-miam."

I say, if you have a chance, get your hands on one of those cookies (and they're big).

Blood Brothers - Highbury

120 Holloway Road, Holloway, London N7 8JE

06-08-2010

In my opinion, it is the best tattoo saloon in London. Not much more there is to say. Great quality work done by top professionals. You won't find any dodgy drawings there.
If you're thinking of having a tattoo done or get some advice on designs - go to Blood Brothers.

Cafe Lido - Fitzrovia

21-22 Great Castle Street, London W1G 0HZ

30-07-2010

I have just been to the Cafe Lido and I really liked it. I needed to grab a quick (tasty&fresh) sandwich and the place just did the trick perfectly. There are some nice tables to sit at too should you fancy.
The prices are very friendly and the girl that made this yummy, brown bread ham sandwich for me was even more friendly.
