Superb. Nothing but. We grabbed a taxi from Dukes and asked the driver to take us to the best Indian he could think of. He took us straight to the Bombay Palace. From the m

Now a funky gastrobub. The second star is purely for the refurbishment Very, very up their own rear ends. Big, dark, huge bar - but good focused. Extremely not my cup of tea. Flagship Brakespears pub ......... Like the Armarda.

Would probably be OK if they could warm the place up a bit. At the pricey end of average, this is a reasonably sized place with a good menu - both food and drink. Nicely welcoming, with enough seating to not feel too stupid by yourself. A bit like an up market Loch Fyne.

Small, friendly, good beer and - most importantly here in the upper Arctic - radiators. A lovely little spot, tucked away from too many of the mwah crowd around here. With a nice little group of locals. Definitely worth the five minute walk from tourist town.

An oasis of sanity in the luvvy-ridden desert of Marylebone. That probably says it all. Me. The locals. Beer. Sandwich. Fire. Wooden floor. Photos. Faded posters. Decent prices. What's not to like.

A tiny little place. Yes, there are stuffed suits - it's just off Berkley Square FGS, and yes it looks a little restauranty. It does get crowded because it's small. All that said and done, it's cosy, half the price of the mwah-bars round here and very friendly. Only downside is that, being withing waddling distance of the great concrete monstrosity round the corner, you will find a lot of our less cultured and loud Atlantic cousins here. Live with it though. The beers good, and a game of watch the bright white "sneakers and sports socks" is always good for a laugh.

Bearing mind where it is, this is an alright little place. Small, comfy, friendly, beer .....sip...... Yup, beer is good and, on a day when the windchill would bring tears to a penguins eyes, cosy and warm. There's a "Great British Lunch" menu at five quid, and the beer is less than four quid a pint. Leave the missus in Bond Street with you card, and sob yourself to the k-line in here.

Really good. Great quality food, good value and friendly staff. Amongst the myriad of outlets, this place stands out.

Not bad at all. The quality can vary at times - depending on who is making your sarnie - but this is still a great old school place. Salt beef sarnies are superb, and everything is a quid cheaper than around the sky scrapers.

Well this place certainly isn't going to set the world alight. But it's the closest pub to the museums and, after dragging the kids round the Science Museum for what seems like three weeks, alcohol is required. It's pretty big, very busy, averagely priced and reasonably friendly. It's full of tourists, the tables all need cleaning and, on a Saturday lunchtime there are two very stressed bar staff on That said. They serve beer.
