I stayed here about ten years ago when it was a little more run-down than it is today, it was one of the nicest hotels I’ve known, mainly because the staff went out of their way to make your stay special, the food by Cuban standards was good, free salsa lesson were provided daily on the roof, I’d go back today if I could. What’s more the rooms are so inexpensive.

Good, but not exceptional.
I had hake on white crab to start, this was soft and delicious, intensely flavoured and a wonderful mouth feel: this was for me the high point meal.
For my main I ordered the Duck breast & confit. The breast was nice and pink, though the skin wasn’t up to the same standard, the confit was served in a potato croquette, what a waste. Oh the carrots were very good.
I skipped the desert and went for the cheese with home made digestive biscuits, four local cheeses couldn’t go wrong with that – there’re some really good cheese produced in Dorset, however the biscuits where small, thick & quite under-whelming.
I’ll go again, I feel sure this must have been unfortunate menu choice or just bad luck.

Ok so this is England and all the same things apply as when we try to do anything that America has already excelled at, just like fast food. Take one American theme park, remove everything good (managed queuing, helpful eager staff & well maintained clean rides) But on a sunny day with young kids it fab.
Kids love it & that's what it's all about, so the plastic blocks fade in the UV from the sun, the shape of the blocks makes them trap & hold every bit dirt going, but so-what, your kids well love it, you'll end up paying a fortune for some very average food.
The first draft was written two hours into the day & was very negative, then I realised it's not how I see the place but how it's seen by the children.
Go to Legoland with children & enjoy their joy in the place; that what it's for.

Chef next time you make a mistake please put it right, I don't mind my food being delayed if it good when I get it.
A very nice restaurant. Sunday night is the owners night off, worth bearing in mind as I thing thing are allowed to slip a little. We arrived at opening time, the greeting was friendly & service good.
My wife ordered the Sea Bass, my son the child's burger & I chose the adult burger. The fish was beautifully presented but both burgers were small / child size this I assume was realised by the chef, as he arrived a minute after the food & plonked an extra bowl of chips on the table and muttered that the portion was a little small before dashing off. The chips were wonderful. Note to all parents - Kids burgers aren't like adults. They're thinner & this make them dry & unpleasant, I'll not encourage Will' to have one again.
