Great big store and very conveniently located in proximity of range of other useful shops (M & S Lite Bite, Clarks, Asda, good animal supplies shop etc) I work on the basis that if anything cannot be found here, you are unlikely to find it anywhere else

Excellent vet with very well trained staff. This is quite small but they have a full set up - including animal hospital - in Melrose. They will do all the dealings with your animal insurance people and are happy to wait for payment until any claim is settled. I’d be happy for them to look after me!
