The Assembly Rooms is a J.D. Wetherspoon pub in Epsom, at the bottom end of the High Street. I'm actually surprised nobody's reviewed it, as it's a) very big and b) normally very busy.
Anyway, it's one of the nicest pubs to drink in in the area. It's really cosy inside but also spacious, with really nice old-fashioned-and-yet-somehow-modern decor. As it's a Wetherspoon's it's also cheap which is obviously great but what's better is that you don't have to drink in the usual Wetherspoon's environs i.e. filth.
The BEST thing about this pub, however, is the bathroom - bear with me here. Can't speak for the men, obviously, but the 'ladies room' at this pub has won numerous awards and rightly so. Has a lovely old-fashioned powder room with seats and mirrors and is generally exceptional both for its quality and its uniqueness. In a Wetherspoon's eh? Who would have thought it...

This is a really lovely leisure centre - the gym specifically is nice and big, and has these amazing glass windows which makes it really light (my criticism of a lot of gyms) and watching the sunset in the evening while you're killing yourself on some kind of horrific cardiovascular machine is a great experience.
The staff are very friendly and, although I've never had a personal trainer here, I've noted that they seem pretty good.
The centre also has a nice swimming pool and a café, as well tennis courts and a changing room bigger than one would expect for a leisure centre of this size.
I would recommend LA Fitness on all of these bases but also as it often has membership offers e.g. 4 weeks in the summer for 40 quid, so look out for those. It's quite reasonable in comparison with other similar local facilities.
