Average food but plenty of it in a shared booth.

Would have scored higher but was slightly taken aback to be told that the tip we had left was not enough! Was slightly confused as I thought tiping was optional.

Fantastic- my wife and I had our joint 40th birthday celebration here and it was amazing. Truly a luxury experience

Great room great food and great service!

Lets start with the good things. There are two restaurants here, English and Thai and we went to the Thai and I must say the food was excellent.

However, they only book for two sittings on a Saturday night (not sure if its the same during the week) and we went for the later one. On arriving the bar was packed and the service for a drink was very slow indeed. We were told three times that our table was ready even before all our party had arrived, i guess to clear the bar area. The Thai dining area is actaully in another building so you have to walk down the road to take your seat. The service was slow in the restaurant in general and our bill at the end was wrong. So to sum up good food spoilt by poor/average service

On complaining that she had found three hairs in a sandwich she had ordered my elderly mother in law, who was visiting from Winchester for the day, was virtually accused of putting them in it herself and then told to "go away you old cow". All by one of the brothers who runs this place!

Luckily I live locally so will be making it my mission to ensure everyone knows how awful this is.

Loved it, good fun, food and beer... just the thing for a fun night out with mates... but not a diner for two!

Does what it says on the tin! food was average but large amounts of beer. We went on a Wedensday night and it was a bit quiet. I,m sure however if you went on a Friday or Saturday you would be assured of a good time.

Not the place for an intimate dinner for two or high quality food but good fun nevertheless.

Slightly disappointed given the previous comments regarding the Windsor Castle.

Having lived locally for many years and seen this pub go thru a number of owners I was pleased with the makeover and effect however I think it’s trying to be something its not.

The food was ok although dessert looked like it had come straight out of a catering pack and I found the waitress quite surly; it was almost as if they were doing us a favour and heaven forbid , that as the customer, we should make a request for something! I also think it was quite expensive for what it was.

I think my mistake was think of this as a restaurant when really its an up market pub with pretensions of being something better, go there with that in mind and you wont be disappointed but IU have been.
