Now I’ve always sworn I hate curry and have only eaten at one indian restaurant previous to the trip here and I can now say I was totally wrong! The food here is so delicious and for a spicyphobe like me, there are plenty of choices on the Nepalese menu. The Lamb Momo steamed nepalese dumplings are to die for. The Chicken Nepal is creamy, fruity and delicious and I love the Sherpa rice. A brilliant restaurant that my curry loving husband and I can share together - a first. Highly recommend it!

This used to be a bogstandard, fairly grotty branch of the co-op - good for forgotten bread and milk after doing a big shop at one of the larger supermarkets. However….this week it’s undergone a makeover! It was shut for 10 days and is now like a brand new store - spacious, well lit, better laid out - and the thing I love about the Co Op is their focus on fair trade products. Really great little supermarket now - really convenient.

This is such a wonderful community resource. They run sessions for preschoolers every day - from Sprouts for the babies to Little Caterpillars and Baby gyms for the older ones. Mandy, the senior staff member who runs all the sessions is amazing - always there for a friendly word or to offer advice. They are starting new sessions all the time - for a new mum it’s perfect.
There’s a wonderful cafe, run by Sue and Gay who work so hard to feed all the kiddies (and are so patient with my wild boys)! The Limelight pre-school there is wonderful - my son is very happy there. They also run classes for the community in literacy and parenting skills, have regular sessions for OAPS and people with special needs - a true COMMUNITY centre - truly wonderful

Well I love Wasabi for the £1.20 onigiri rice balls - three of those and I’m happy! I love the Salmon ones. Wasabi is fab - such great value and for cheap sushi, suprisingly great fish! Handrolls are ok - the california is the best (the tempura prawn is always a bit dry). Only thing I worry about is the un-eco friendly amount of cellophane you get through!

I love the Miso chain of restaurants - the one in Bromley looks posher, but the food here is just as good - great for large bowls of noodles and yummy starters - the ebi dumplings are divine, as is the deep fried squid. It’s quick and also very child friendly - wide benches like most noodle bars but they have clip on high chairs to pop on the ends of the tables.
Not fancy but good value and very tasty - raw juice is also excellent
