Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura - Reykjavík

Fantastic hotel located in Reykjavik, with a 20 minute walk to the city centre and bars. It looks a bit like a school from the outside… but don’t be fooled, inside its gorgeous. Its modern and very attractive. Rooms are lovely with good beds, sofas, tv’s and shower facitilities are great. The staff are friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic! Very ‘posh’ as some people would call it, but I like it although it may be too fussy for some people but delicious all the same. Great hotel restaraunt and bar. Great breakfast on offer in the morning from 4am just in case you have an early flight!
Its situated at a small airport in Reykjavik but you barely even notice that fact unless you look out of the window, you can even hear planes taking off!
I loved this place and will definately be going back. And next time ill make use of the pool, jacuzzi and gym…

What a fantastic place! This is a lovely hotel not too far from Selfoss in Iceland with gorgeous views, you can see Hekla off in the distance and a beautiful lake near by. On an evening, even in early september, this place is perfect for viewing the northern lights. The accomodation we stayed in was a seperate area with dozens of bedrooms some 3 and some 2 beds. It was clean and comfortable but with no extra thrills. Shower worked just fine. Wasn’t the comfiest bed I have ever stayed in, but after a hard day of excursions up Mount Hekla, that doesn’t really matter as you just fall asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow!
During your spare time you can play ping pong in the main community area, which is also where you can find the bar ;) and the dining area. It was around 900kr for a beer, which is expensive but thats what you should expect when you visit Iceland. You can also make use of the free wi-fi and the table football, or even have a jam on the guitar!
Outside you can look at the farm animals! They have seven dogs on the farm, one of which is apparently the ugliest dog in Iceland… they also have an arctic fox which is adorable! They have a cow… which thinks that it is a dog… AND Elvis the dancing goat!!!! (look him up on YouTube- HILARIOUS). They have a small play area which I made use of despite being a 20 year old geography student… and a TRAMPOLINE which gives you hours of fun on an evening, especially after a few pints and makes looking at the stars and the northern ligts an even more amazing experience! They have a hot tub somewhere in the farm, but we never found it, the lecturers were keeping quiet about that one… have the feeling that they were probrably in it every night haha!
Food was FANTASTIC!!! We had HUGE and tasty meals such as lasagne, burritos and beef stew on various evenings followed by gorgeous deserts that were reminicent of school dinners! They even made enough so that we could seconds! Great for students! Breakfast in the morning was a mix of fruit, cereals and breads, you could take as much as you like. Tea, coffee, juice etc were all free and in plentiful suply.
The staff were extremely friendly and willing to help you with any issues.
I would highly recommend this place to ANYONE. Its perfect for students such as myself on a field trip as the accommodation provides everything you need, but is also great for a family holiday!!! I shall be taking my daughter here when I return to Iceland! Its fantastic and is an experience I shall never forget.

I would give this hotel all of its stars based simply on the view! From the back of the hotel, you have a view of a beautiful glacier and the Katla volcano, and from the front the view is just as stunning over the bay out to sea. The hotel is situated on the slopes of a mountain which gives fantastic views, the best location I have ever stayed in hotel in fact!
The staff are friendly and very helpful and know good english so it is easy to communicate with them if you are not very good with your Icelandic. The hotel is generally clean and tidy and rooms are comfortable with fantastic views and free wi-fi and televisions. The only complaint that I have about the accommodation is the shower… it was pointless. The water came out like you were stood under an umbrella so if you stood in the middle, you didn’t actually get wet…
They have a large dining area with a bar which was lovely and the food served was of a good standard and very filling!
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the hotel and will definately be going back if I ever return to iceland! And I was lucky enough to see the northern lights during my stay and they made a fantastic view even better!
Would recommend this place to anyone, but bare in mind its in the middle of nowhere, but thats not a bad thing…

Was interesting to visit to learn both about the human and physical history of Iceland. Interesting as you can see the clear rift between the American and Eurasian plates. Can only amuse you for a limited amount of time though… Oh and wrap up warm!!!

Wonderful sight but nothing going on when I visited unfortunately! I’m a geography student so the sight of it alone satisfied me! And I love pronouncing the name :D

Went to Iceland from 7th-14th September and saw the northern lighs perfectly clear pretty much the whole week. This was extremely lucky! Clear nights every night! Was an amazing sight I shall never forget. Perfect. Would recommend this to anyone. I could see them at Vatnsholt, dyrholaey and even in the city of Reykjavik.

Nice architecture… But what a highly unorganized airport. Ridiculous queues. Get there in plenty of time to check in!!!

Loved loved loved it!!! Gorgeous place and an amazing experience that Id recommend to anyone. Make sure you bring your own towel as it’s 800kr to rent one… And only complaint is the lack of lockers when it’s extremley busy! But the lagoon itself is stunning and you can relax and have a drink at around 900kr for one. Will be going back, but will be taking my own towel!

Gorgeous place with superb food! Friendly service. Average Icelandic prices. Only complaint is that it was too popular which meant it was busy… But overall a worthwhile experience! Would recommend the salmon :)
