Friendly service, and fairly fast. Excellent garlic bread- really garlicky which most takeaways don't manage. Pizza was fine- sauce very herby, toppings very good quality. Very reasonable prices too.

What a friendly couple Calum and Pat are (and Charlie the labradoodle too!)! Was welcomed so warmly and shown round the excellent facilities- all so clean and tidy. Great bathroom with bath and a walk in shower. Good food including a lovely Roast Beef as an evening meal on my 2nd night. Location is excellent- on the main road, and frequently served by buses. Only 15 mins from Lochmaddy and about the same from Benbecula Airport. Temple View Hotel up the road also does a good evening meal. Nothing was too much trouble for my hosts, and the rates were excellent value! Would recommend the Ships Wheel to anyone, and hope to return one day.

I have written a full review on trip advisor. This place is awful- tired, shabby, dirty and cold and the staff a rude. Don’t go there! Got even worse when I wrote to complain- spoke to a man called Harding who claimed the man I was told was the owner/ manager was not and never had been. Contested my points too…and he still hasn't offered an explanation or any response PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!

One of the better Travelodges- large spacious and clean room, large bar cafe although overpriced food. Convenient for an early flight from either terminal.

Poor cab company- avoid! They ripped me off and quoted me £7 from Airport to Travelodge, so I booked. Taxi driver charged me £12.90, and refused to budge from that rate, so I paid it. When I phoned the office they agreed to refund me via bank transfer, but havent done yet (was promised by Thursday, its now Saturday) and they have ignored my email. Driver was friendly and chatty but appealing driving- he appeared to be falling asleep, lying on the steering wheel, and cut several cars up

One of the worse Travelodges- staff all friendly enough, although no-one ever available on reception immediately. Room was poor (234)- very tired and shaby; stains and holes in wall, dusty lamps, dirty mug/ plastic cup, tiny bath, bath chipped, broken shower, huge stain on ceiling and bed was on its way out, but I slept comfortablely enough in the end Breakfast 'ok'- poor selection of cooked food, cold beans, thin bacon, toaster wasn't very good (toasted 1 side only ...) and yoghurt was off. Wouldn't recommend when there is so much choice in Luton

Friendly drivers. Travelled on 918 to Connel to connect with 976 to Inverary, and driver ensured connection was held in case of delay. The fleet is clean and modern, and the views from their routes are spectacular

Lovely little tea room serving a good selection of cakes and meals. Had a delicious lasagne which tasted homemade and decent chips. £6.50 which seemed excellent value. Friendly service too!

A bit strange- went a while back on a Tuesday lunchtime in July, we were the only customers but various Italian men (who appeared to come from a Maffia film) kept popping in and out...We both had pasta which was alright, not bad at all- a little expensive though. Service friendly, not a great drinks selection.
