Pitcher & Piano - Clapham
94 Northcote Road, Battersea, London SW11 6QW
10-11-2007
All Branches of Pitcher and Piano are good quality and service, this one is my local and I always find it welcoming and relaxing. They have a variety of events on which are always great fun and well thought out. Any of them are good locations for a quiet night or a fun laughing one.
Opal - Temple
Hungerford House Victoria Embankment, London WC2N 6PA

Motion is in a gorgeous location. Service is friendly and efficient. The decor is lovely with modern wall papers and chandelliers. With its beautiful appearance and quality service you would expect inflated prices, however, we were suprised so much at the cost that we had to double chek we had doubles.
Macmillans Hairdressing - Covent Garden
Endell Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9AD
10-11-2007
Kene Franklin at Macmillans Hairdressing is sheer genious. I like to go early just to watch him work his magic on the previous client. Every cut is so precise and what I really like is he will cut your hair to suit you and not give you some new trend out of some fashion magazine. The most trustworthy hairdresser I've ever seen in London.
Sports Cafe - West End
80 Haymarket, London SW1Y 4TQ
10-11-2007
The sports cafe is probably more of a lads place. The girls behind the bar have to wear skimpy uniforms and the lads walk roung in joggers and polo shirts. Some of the girls working there should probably cover up! They show alot of sport but not football, maybe baseball or basketball. An american person who moved to this country would feel quite at home here, however, they might be disappointed with the very English portion sizes.
Tiger Tiger - West End
29 Haymarket, London SW1Y 4SP
10-11-2007
This is one of the most popular branches of Tiger Tiger probably due to its location. Every night of the week you can see that it's packed out. You find that the music is different on certain nights so you may need to do some research to find which night suits your genre. You can get lost quite easily in this place and the cues for the locker room
are a nightmare. You waste half your night standing in a line down the stairs. Overall this venue is okay if you're already quite drunk, not a good starter as a couple of drinks could probably buy you a meal out.
The London Dungeon - Southwark
28 Tooley Street, Southwark, London SE1 2SZ
10-11-2007
The London Dungeon was easily the perfect choice for our Halloween night. The rides are hilarious, constantly making you jump and there are characters everywhere. The part wher you get shown the story of Jack the Ripper is not only really interesting but for horror film lovers it has its perks too. Everyone should go at some point or another but halloween really is ideal.
Tattershall Castle - Embankment
Kings Reach, Victoria Embankment, London SW1A 2HR
10-11-2007
I absolutley love this place. The first time I went down stairs in the boat my friends convinced me that we were sailing?! you can actually feel th boat moving underneath you so without standing ner the windonws, they had a goos case. The view from the windows is astounding, the lights and westminster look beautiful from there. The deck of the boat is also great in the summer, just to watch the water and feel the nice breeze. Suprisingly the music is motown, 60's and modern. It's such a classy looking place and they play fun music.
Le Pigalle - West End
215-217 Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, London W1J 9HN
10-11-2007
You could have gone back fifty years or more when you walk into this place. It has a very pink and gold theme and looks a lot like an old Moulin Rouge type place. This being the idea, they do occasionally have burlesque dancers and artists, althoug I have seen brillianr jazz singers there too. Tickets are quite expensive but definiteley worth a go for night out with a bit of a difference.
JEWEL - Soho
4-6 Glasshouse Street, Piccadilly, London W1B 5DQ
10-11-2007
The very first place I visited when I moved down South to London was Jewel. It is not what you would see on a regular basis in Manchester, that's for sure. The Chandelliers are gorgeous and the low lighting against the plush burgundy walls is stunning. I have a friend who believes it's more like something from an old horror film but I like the fact it looks a bit like the Beauty and the Beast castle. The cocktails and bar snacks are lovely although a little on the expensive side.
Warwick,The Late Night Bar - Soho
1-3 Warwick Street, London W1B 5LR
10-11-2007
We generally only go to the Warwick for it's mad karaoke. It's like live X Factor with horrendous singers who have a great cheering crowd encouraging them along. A good laugh to watch. I have been on a Friday before and found it to be jam packed with people who all want to pile onto the dance floor. It's easier sometimes to find a seat than to get up and dance.
