Ganz süße, kleine Kneipe. Eine echte Perle für ein gemütliches Bier. In dieser Ecke von Hamburg, in der praktisch alle Läden entweder für Partygänger oder für Vollzeit-Alkoholiker sind, ist das eine echte Oase.

Auf so einen Laden habe ich gewartet: Wunderschöne klassische Fahrräder, aber in einer Preiskategorie zwischen 80 und etwa 200 Euro (ein paar Spezialitäten sind teurer). Ich habe mir letzt Woche endlich ein Hollandrad aus den 70er-Jahren gekauft, ein englisches allerdings (ein Raleigh), in einem großartigen Zustand und für alltagstaugliche 195 Euro. Ich bin begeistert, von dem Rad natürlich, aber auch von dem Preis und der Liebe, die ganz offensichtlich in der Arbeit steckt, die die Jungs in dem Laden machen. Ich hätte am liebsten gleich mehrere Räder mitgenommen, und ich bin mir sehr sicher, dass wer alte Räder mag, hier etwas findet, das ihm gefällt. Insofern: Eine Empfehlung aus vollstem Herzen.

A cosy place with great “real greek cuisine” (but of course it also has the european style “Metaxa sauce gyros” alongside the more traditional greek dishes), very reasonably priced, and with a good variety of nice wines. The welcoming, fun-loving owner will not only help you make the right choice, he is one great example of how greek hospitality got its fame: We had a wonderful evening at the Perilion and can recommend to everybody who wants good food, a nice bottle of wine in a relaxed atmosphere. The children were really welcome as well – as all parents know, one can feel the difference, you cannot fake that.
I can highly recommend the “Dorade”, although I think it was a special and is not on the regular menu, but you could tell the chef knows his way around a fish, so going for one is a safe bet. I also very much enjoyed some kind of home made Schnapps the owner offered us for free that tasted like a strong Grappa. So be nice you just might get lucky …
