I have been a long term customer of Back alley also. it is a great shop that stocks some good stuff. as a bass player I have bought a lot of different basses, cables and things from them. I’ve had them do repairs and as a live engineer now I use them for emergency cables. the staff have always been easy to get along with and talk to you like a human not just a customer. I would always go to back alley first.

Cineworld is an ok cinema but that’s as far as it goes it feels dated now and the cinema experience is not the best it has a few facilities such as a bar but im not sure that’s used anymore. The good things about it are its cheaper than the next nearest cinema and parking is better as its not as busy.

Admittedly I’ve not had to deal with these guys for a few years as I no longer have a bike but when i did they were fantastic. The service was excellent which is more than I can say for other shops like this in chester. I went in once for some new bearings and grease and they give me the bearings for free! top quality guys.

this is a large working mans club now know as The Eccies. It has a medium sized function room which holds host to some live entertainment. The customers all seem to be locals. The atmosphere and the beer is what you would normally find in your own local community pub.

the newly named cafe phoenix is a truly refreshing place to go. they have a great vision there to provide a fantastic small venue and not just a good bar but a great location to go to. They have all sorts going on including original live music and DJ nights. the service is great and the prices are reasonable. its great to see a place like this thriving and getting it done right which i feel others in chester could learn from.

The cellar bar is the former city bar but is nothing like its past. there are a great selection of events and seems to be a place when original live music lovers go to listen to some great music. they have a great selection of ales and beers and the staff seemed very pleased to help. would definitely recommend going do the cellar to catch some great tunes in a great atmosphere.

I wouldn’t recommend going to this bar it is a place that seems to be at the hub of Chester’s electronic music, unless you like that kind of thin. cant fault the service or prices though

Debo’s is a fantastic place. he offers small cost t-shirt printing and will spend time talking about designs with you and ive had Debo’s print my t-shirts for years. as well as printing he also sells quality alt fashion and accessories. he also advertises local gigs as well.

it is a quirky little shop that sells a lot of alternative fashion and accessories. the staff are pleasant and the goods are quality. Its hard to have a decent look around as its very small and cluttered although that’s what gives the store character
Chester Library - Chester
Northgate Street, Chester, Cheshire CH1 2HQ

I tend to go to the library at least once a week. it is very nice compared to a lot of state owned libraries. the staff are really nice and always eager to help if you need anything. how ever as with most places in the city centre the best way to get to it is by bus as the bus depot is right behind it.
A lack of on site toilets is a bit of a issue to.
