Professional manager, staff. Very customer focussed. Great selection of ales. Pleasant clientele. Nice atmosphere, when busy or quiet. Especially busy on rugby days (before and after, not during).

Always impressed when I go here. Prices very reasonable. Friendly manner. Last time I needed a part for my table, to attach the table leg to the table. They didnt have the precise part in stock. However while I was in the shop they cut a screw to size, adjusted, tested until the part worked. They wanted to charge me just 50p for it, however I couldnt give them less than £1. Wouldnt have felt right. Saved me a lot of time and cellotape!

I popped in this morning on the recommendation of the Velo Ecosse cycle shop (as I had 10 or so mins to spare while waiting for my wife's bike to be fixed). I only had a cup of tea (as I was already coffeed out). I can't as such make any comment on the food. However my tea and biscuit (nice touch) were I thought very good value at £1.40, while I read one of their papers.
However my main impression of the place was what a great job they had done with the interior decor and ambiance. Pleasant well thought out music in the background. The chap running the coffee shop - didnt get his name but seemed like a very decent bloke. In short it was just a really nice place to sit down and chill out for a bit. One of those places that you go to and just simply make you feel better about life. Reminded me of those times I went to visit my brother in New York when he lived over there.
I will be back!
