Managed to win one of their £1 rooms and wow, what a bargain!!
Gorgeous hotel. Very cool with a great entrance. The lobby has the check-in desk on one side and the Hoxton Grill (didn’t try but looked good) on the other, with some nice comfy seating in front of two roaring fires and their fabulous art pieces.
The room was brilliant, with a comfy bed, an LCD tv with movies, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilites with fresh milk in the fridge and also bottled water. Lovely bathroom with a fab shower. And the fact that the Pret a Manger breakfast was included was great, and it was delicious!
All for a quid!!
The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and they were all so friendly!

Went here for nice evening dinner with my partner in the dining room, which is downstairs.
I booked it quite a while before I went, did it online which was very easy and received a call a few days before to check the booking. It was only a few minutes walk from Old Street tube station and less than 10 minutes from our hotel.
I was pleasantly suprised at how relaxed it was on arrival, the staff being very friendly and helpful.
The food was delicious. There is only the tasting menu available in the dining room, where you are given the choice out of about 5 options from each course, which is plenty (can recommend the carpaccio!).
Overall, we really enjoyed it but what made it was the service. Very polite, nothing was too much trouble and it just made the experience that much nicer.

Really nice food, nice atmosphere and its a great price. It’s a set price for the amount of courses, rather than specific dishes which I quite liked. The most you’ll pay is £17.95 for 3 course, can’t complain!
The portions were just right (some might grumble but for a nouveau cuisine style dinner, its good!)
Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone who wants something that little bit nicer than the average.

We had a great time here on Saturday night!!
I remember when we visited here a few years ago a big list of Tequila’s which now seems to have gone :( but we made up for it with lots of Margarita’s!!
The cocktails are on the more expensive side but they are good. We managed to get some seats in the bar downstairs and it was quite atmospheric with the low lights and candles. Was still quite touristy though.
But for us, this place was absolutely fine. Location was great, cocktails were gorgeous and it was a neat little bar to catch up with my friends in!

It’s nice enough. It’s quite trendy with a more-interesting-than-most menu. We went on a rainy Sunday afternoon and there was bags of room. We ordered burgers, mine came with chorizo and red peppers, was very nice.
The staff weren’t quite attentive enough though. When my friend asked for some mayo to go with her burger and fries, it didn’t arrive until her plate was almost empty. And when we ordered our food at the bar, we were told its meant to be waitress service to our tables but that didn’t happen. They’re both problems we weren’t that upset about though so it was a decent enough visit, and the food was the best bit about it.

Great for a 'home from home’ type place to stay in London.
We had a 2 bedroom apartment, with TWO bathrooms!! It was just great to come home to a place with a sofa, a tv, a kitchen with all appliances you need for a weekend away, including a dishwasher, a big fridge freezer, all pots/pans/crockery/cutlery/etc and even a washer/dryer. Oh, and things like dishwasher tablets were provided. Brilliant.
I wasn’t present when my friends had checked in so didn’t really have any dealings with any staff, as lucky for us we had no problems with anything over the weekend. And the place was really clean, a great size, we had no problems with noise, and from our room, we could see a tiny bit of the london eye, Battersea power station and the houses of parliament!
I’m actually yet to pay for my share of the weekend so not sure what it is exactly but I think its worked out at about £80 for myself to stay 2 nights.
Also what makes it so cool is its really close (5 minute walk) to Borough Market, which was brilliant. Amazing fresh and interesting food and plants and things.

Fantastic little Tea Shop. Sells a large range of speciality tea, including some interesting mixes like Notting Hill. I had a delicious Jasmine tea, with a piece of homemade Lemon cake, which was gorgeous. Very Zingy!!!
All the teas are served loose in a pot for one, the ones with the cup on the bottom and the pot on the top, and you’re given a tea strainer. Perfect amount for 2 cups.
The shop is so cute, with a hotch-potch of chairs and little tables, vintage style and the staff were nice and friendly. Its quite a small place, there are tables outside too but it was raining when we visited so everyone was inside.
Price was good. I think my tea and the homemade cake, which was so fresh, was I think £3.90, which I was happy with.
Would definitely recommend a visit if you’re wandering around Camden, especially if you’re in need of a warm-up over the winter months!!

Visited here on Saturday afternoon. Considering the timing, the place wasn’t over full, which is nice but we had pre-booked anyway as there was a group of us.
When you first walk in, you’re greeted by the massive pizza oven, which is very impressive. The greeting was pleasant and we were shown straight to our table. Half of our party was quite late and there was no pressure to speed us up at anytime and they didn’t hassle us for our order.
The food was lovely. I had the Acapulco Pizza, with ground beef, jalapenos, onion and a big dollop of sour cream and guacamole in the middle. Was delicious! Everyone else was happy with theirs too.
Overall, it was a friendly, relaxed place with nice choice (of pizza’s), it catered for groups very well (one of our group was in a wheelchair, there was a lift) and the location is great

Great for general pet shop supplies.
We have a dog so only use their facilities for dog stuff but they supply so much more for cats, birds, fish and smaller fury things.
There is a large variety of collars and leads to choose from, with some very specific styles and some 'outfits’ for the smaller dog (nothing will ever fit our labrador!). Their selection of toys is quite good, we often find something different that we haven’t seen elsewhere. They stock a decent range of foods, including the pedigree better by nature (including the poultry one that we haven’t seen anywhere else). We always have a good choice of treats and chews too.
Is just right for its location, its averagely priced and staff are always pleasant and helpful.

We went to Thai Dusit on a Sunday evening. We had booked the table for 4 a few days before but it wasn’t over busy so we could have fitted in without booking. Its very conveniently located with Bold Lane Parksafe Car Park across the road.
It is quite a small place but everything fits in well. Its pleasant decor and the staff are traditionally dressed, which adds to the Thai theme. Whilst we were studying the menu, there was a small basket of thai crackers placed on the table, which is a nice touch.
We had 3 courses. 2 platters for 2, one meat and the other vegetarian as a starter. Both were delicious, my favourite part being the satay sauce (because I LOVE it!!). We all completely loved our main courses. I had Massaman Gai, which is a curry I have had before in another restaurant, and it was perfect. I would have loved to have been given the sauce in a flask to take away with me!! The quantity was great (my mum had the red thai curry and couldn’t finish it so asked for a doggy bag!). We just had enough room for pudding. They were… nice but simple. Either frozen desserts or I had banana fritters. It was the starters and main course that made it for me. And I can highly recommend finishing with the Jasmine Tea. Delicious. The service from the staff was just right, no hassling and very polite.
For four of us, 3 courses and a few drinks each, it came to less than £100 which I think is very reasonable. I will definitely be returning to this place.
