I love it here. I like the way they try to make the food balanced. I like the way it is a little different and more authentic than most curry houses. Most of all, I just really like the flavours and the pleasant atmosphere. A great value meal that is tasty and filling. Perfect!

I had dinner here, and for an evening meal, I would not recommend it. After a tasty aspargus and egg starter, I had steak that was half fat and chips which had no flavour- like oven chips. Dessert was no better with a huge portion of creamy cheesecake, which was rich but somehow not indulgent and rather tasteless. When we complained we were treated like trouble makers. Prehaps this place is great for lunches and as a deli, but as a restaurant I think it is being a little over ambitious.

It seems those that paid £1 were very impressed with this hotel- myself included. I would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone, it is clean tidy, modern, comfortable and slick. I would happily pay more to stay here again. I enjoyed my pret breakfast in a bag in the morning- cereal and yogurt in a pot, a banana and some orange juice. The bed was really comfortable and when I say this place was clean, I actually mean immaculate!

I actually find this market quite pricey, but it does get very busy, so maybe thats just me!! Its still a great place to shop for something a little bit different and individual, such as gifts etc. There are many vintage stalls and new designers selling their good, as well as a huge array of jewelry stalls. The market is also surrounded by good places to eat or get a coffee, so you won’t go hungry or thirsty here!

Open 24 hours and filled with tasty cheap morsels, you can’t go wrong here. They do a huge range of bagels with a variety of fillings which are filling and they all taste great. They also do a good range of cakes, for those with a sweeter tooth, but the best item to buy from these bakery’s is actually bread. I used to grab a loaf from here on the way back from a night on brick lane and then devour it for breakfast the next day! It’s slightly sweet and light, a little like brioche and tastes incredible with butter and jam..

Quite a large Argos store with a good stock. Over Christmas we go a tree from here and all the other Argo’s in the area had sold out. This store is never too busy and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Good for electricals and jewelry, plus the Argos returns policy is really good.

Private Karaoki with beer and saki- it’s exactly what it says on the tin! The decor is dodgy and worn and the place doesn’t get cleaned too well, judging by the cobwebs, but if Lucky Voice is a little too expensive, then this is the place to go. I actually found the staff quite rude- maybe he just didn’t like us! In a great location, so you can warm up in a few nearby bars first if required and make a night of it!

Most people seem to like this place- and on my first trip, I was interested! I bought some loose leaf tea and some other tea related items for gifts. Unfortunately I really don’t like the taste of the tea I bought- which has put me off this place. It’s expensive when you consider that PG Tips taste better, and I think that you are better trying food halls for loose leaf tea.

A good little Sainsbury’s with decent stock- they reduce stuff that’s going out of date and put it in the chiller section by the sandwiches towards the end of the day. I used to stop here on the way to visit my friend and the do a good selection of wines and sweet products- such as donuts, cupcakes etc. If you want a cheap lunch, their sandwiches are quite good too.

Not bad as far as pasty’s go, but controversially, I prefer square pasty’s to cornish ones as I don’t like the thick pastry on these. Still, not a bad quick bite if you are in a rush and there is often no que. I usually get one of these if traveling home late, as they are open quite late.
