Blonde woman incredibly unfriendly, property on offer very limited and not well presented. Ashtons down the road are far nicer and offer a better service!

Ordered through just-eat but will call them directly in future. There was a problem with my order and they called me immediately to make sure they had the details correct and threw in a free dish despite it not being their fault at all. The food arrived quickly and was far and away the best chinese delivery food I've had in the area (which has mostly been gristly/greasy/cold or all three).
The salt and pepper tofu was delicious, the minced pork in the dumpligs was good quality meat (really rare in my experience), vegetables were fresh and not overcooked.
Also did char sui buns! Never found them on a delivery menu. They were lovely.
Best of all it was such good value!
A real find.

We got a table under the blossom, near the fire, in the conservatory. It was just beautiful and so romantic as a setting.
We had the tasting menu and it was very good. Interesting mix of flavours and textures, everything very well executed.
The sommelier was brilliant and found us a brilliant wine in our budget.
Service was attentive without being over-familiar.
A really lovely night.

No, seriously?
I was disappointed by this restaurant. It is overpriced, and I use that term with care having happily paid far more for a meal elsewhere. I am happy to pay a lot of money for an excellent experience, but this just wasn't. This was mainly down to the service, which was indifferent at best - I'd've been unimpressed being served this way at a chain restaurant. It wasn't 'informal' - it was disinterested, cold and not even competent.
The food was excellent. But I've had far better meals for less money in places which - crucially - had a far better atmosphere.
We sat downstairs in the 'atelier' - perhaps things might've been better upstairs in the formal restaurant, but we chose downstairs because we wanted to try out a tapas-y approach to fine dining.
The service spoilt this place for me. I actually refused to pay the service charge, for the first time ever. I am the sort of person who gets embarrassed when things are disappointing and I once didn't send back a still-frozen lasagne in a pub because I didn't want to offend anyone(!!!!!), so this is a big deal.
I emailed to say how awful the service had been and someone wrote back offering us a free bottle of house champagne next time we dined there.
Our meal, with wine, cost £200 for two. No ta.
We went to Clos Maggiore a couple of weeks later to try to erase the bad memories and that was much better.
Deliverance - Westminster

My review relates to their SW delivery region.
About four years ago I pretty much lived off Deliverance food. The variety was revolutionary and the quality was good, much better than greasy generic takeaways. I moved into a flat with a working oven and stopped using them so much - but still at least a couple of times a month.
A couple of years ago they went sharply downhill. Food quality declined and prices went from pricey to extortionate while delivery times became ludicrous. Even the previously excellent burger became bad. I think they had outreached their grasp.
A few months ago a menu came through the door and I noticed their prices had gone DOWN. "Aha, victims of their own success", I thought. We gave them a go.
Food arrived on time and was much better than our more recent experiences. Generally I've found the pizzas and pastas to always be mediocre and the 'grill' items to be very good. Their burgers are back on form and the felafal burger is a particular favourite. Indian food is only okay, Thai food is better, Chinese slightly above average. I wouldn't get sushi from them (Bento in Clapham is good for this), but I've had their vegetarian sushi and that was fine, they've got the rice right. They shine on the European and Grill fronts.
The EXCELLENT idea of child-sized portions (which have correspondingly lower prices), in some dishes is a welcome addition as they have a small size burger which suits me better.
The desserts are usually good - they've started doing hot desserts and the sticky toffee pudding is great for when you fancy some stodge. Their chocolate truffles have always been brilliant and remain so.
Portions are generous, I wouldn't bother with chips (bit flabby), packaging is good. Good to see them back on form. I certainly haven't found decent delivery burgers elsewhere.
If you're someone who sometimes fancies having three different puddings, a packet of posh crisps and a falafel burger without wanting to leave their house then Deliverance is for you!

This place had good reviews on just-eat so I thought I'd give them a go.
Started badly when after almost an hour (was told it'd be half an hour but it was friday night and bad weather so I made allowances), I rang to ask where my pizza was.
They had lost my order! I asked for a refund and was basically told that would be (too?) difficult they'd get my food to me within twenty minutes and throw in a bottle of wine.
They almost managed it and the delivery guy was nice but the food! Presumably they'd rushed it given the situation (and the fact it was now almost 1am). My pizza was charred black in places with topping spilling everywhere. The mozarella garlic bread was okay.
However, and why I am giving two stars - they dealt with the problem well, the pizza was cheap and not entirely horrible and they are apparently open until 1.30am on fridays and saturdays which is always useful to know!
I may use them again but will be calling directly rather than going through just-eat.
Not a PATCH on Basilico but I've eaten worse for more money.

This shop is simply lovely. The dresses are mid- to high- range (from about £1200-£2000), though not bespoke.
They stock designers including Beverly Lister and Ian Stuart (a large selection of his dresses), in friendly surroundings. The staff are all wonderful in a motherly way; nothing is too much trouble and you will be surrounded by honest opinions and efforts to make you look your absolute best. They also stock a variety of sizes, a rarity in this industry!
When I said I might want sleeves added they pinned different fabrics to the dress I was trying on so I could envisage how the different options would look.
Absolutely unpretentious despite being very refined and delightful service.

This place is brilliant! I visited on my ongoing quest to find crystal clear dermabrasion in the Clapham Common area and think I'll stop looking now.
Their treatment room is basic compared with VIP Rooms or The Grove in Clapham Junction, but much better than Be Beautiful's. You'll have your eyes closed for most of it anyway. The therapist was extremely capable and obviously knew exactly what she was doing. As well as the hour-long Crystal Clear session Sajna also a offer 1/2 hour treatment which I'll be going for next time. Prices are in line with other establishments. The therapist is also very good at massage (a neck massage comes standard with CC), which was a bit of a treat as it's by no means the norm!
I tried their eyebrow threading service out this week and oh my goodness! I've never had threading before and will now not do anything else. Went in with full-on cavewoman eyebrows (have been growing them out), and within about five minutes - and for THREE POUNDS - had amazing, beautifully shaped brows which look absolutely incredible and are so much better than the results I've had with plucking/waxing/etc, including from professionals. A really classy look.
Didn't even hurt. Service was no-nonsense - she sat me down and got started - but for THREE QUID, well. No complaints here and I will be back.

This place is fantastic. Lovely staff, competitive prices on a massive range of treatments and a really nice ambiance.
No hard sell, really convenient opening ours (until 9pm!), can’t fault it.

I went to Be Beautiful because it was the only place in Clapham Common to offer crystal clear dermabrasion. They tried to pressure me into buying a set of ten sessions over the telephone, but I went along anyway.
I was not impressed. When I arrived the receptionists were gossiping about previous clients. The facilities are frankly scuzzy and for the prices they are charging I’d hope for more than being led through endless narrow coridoors and told to lie on a rickety bed. The beauty therapist told me I’d get more spots after the treatment (might’ve been nice to warn me beforehand), and I just had no confidence in her abilities.
I’ll be going elsewhere in future.
EDIT May 2009.
I had to come back and edit this as I have now discovered that the treatment schedule they tried to hard sell me (ten sessions, starting at one a week), is actually DANGEROUS and could’ve caused permanent damage to my skin.
Please avoid this place, you can get everything they are offering for the same or less money in the many GOOD salons in the area!
