Renshaw Street, Liverpool, Merseyside L1 2SF

Quiggins did not "relocate" to Renshaw Street, Grand Central is a completely different company, they just happen to use the "QUIGGINS" name. A few of the tenants from Quiggins did move there but the original Quiggins founder moved to Aigbuth "QUIGGINS ATTIQUE" see www.quiggins.com and read the story of QUIGGINS history.

The Gulshan - Liverpool

Aigburth Road, Liverpool, Merseyside L19 3QG

02-08-2009

Heard so much about the Gulshan so arranged to go with some close friends to catch up on lots of gossip over a spicy curry (a perfect saturday night!!!)
The place was quite busy so we were shown upstairs for drinks and given the menu…lovely decor and curteous staff…we placed our order and after about 1/2 an hour we were shown to our table.
The food was very good (even though we had to ask for napkins & some cutlery)But totally spoilt by the manager scurrying around hurling instructions to the bevvy of young waiters, who were running aimlessly in all directions, fraught with anxiety, they hovered over us, whipping our plates away the minute we put our forks down & thrusting hot towels upon us…so much for our leisurely chat & gossip! We felt we were now required to ask for the bill as our table was urgently needed for the next diners…....We didnt realise The Gulshan was a fast food restaurant :(

Cobo Oriental - Liverpool

394 Aigburth Road, Liverpool, Merseyside L19 3QD

01-02-2009

Sharp minimalistic black & white decor, pleasant attractive staff, good food but the whole evening dominated by the phone ringing for take-away orders and a constant stream of punters arriving to collect their meals. We waited an age for our meals to arrive, the table of four seated next to us waited even longer as preference was obviously being given to 'Cobo’s’ take-away customers! There’ s no atmosphere in the place whatsoever!
Sorry 'Cobo’ your prices don’t justify sitting in a glorified take-away on Aigburth Rd!!!!!!!
