After picking up a voucher at Britain's Next Top Model Live I thought I'd give the London College of Beauty Therapy a try. The voucher gave me my first treatment at just £5 and I opted for a prescriptive facial.
The therapists there are all training and are at varying points in their courses so I was concerned it would be a but hit-or-miss, but my beauty therapist was very good. It took a little longer than usual while she double checked things with her tutor, but I walked away with fabulous-feeling skin so there are no complaints from me. After all, they have to put in the hours to become fully qualified so it's good to give them the opportunity. Next time I think I'll try a manicure.

Love this basement shop as it really feels like you are stepping back in time and rediscovering something. There is a great variety of clothing and accessories laid out by type and colour - I love colour coding!
I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the shoes which weren't really saleable in my opinion, but the beautiful dresses made up for it. I'll be popping in here regularly from now on.
The staff are usually dressed amazingly too.

Interesting to see that another reviewer felt the wine gave them a bad hangover, I felt exactly the same.
I wasn't particularly impressed with the service here. The waiter was in fact very rude and we were quite taken aback by his lack of manners.
The food was good but not great and slightly over-priced in my opinion. I wouldn't go back as there are plenty of other restaurants nearby with a bit more to offer.

I didn't have a very good experience at the Diner mainly due to the service. We weren't seated straight away while the waiter chatted to some friends. The food does take quite a while to come considering the simplicity of it, and we were there very early in the evening so it wasn't really busy at all.
I went for eggs Benedict and it was just average. The Hollandaise was a bit thick and tasted too buttery for my liking. The mushroom burger looked pretty good though and came with some Cajun sauce but when we asked for some more we got given seafood sauce... odd. The hot-dog was very simple and a bit overpriced.
We were served by 3 different people overall which isn't ideal and one of our waitresses had just had a tattoo and had her arm covered in plastic... might have wanted to cover that up while you're serving people food.
On the plus side the music was pretty good.
Note: the fried portions are huge, we could have shared 1 portion between the 3 of us.

Great theatre currently showing Sister Act which has one of the best stage set-ups I've ever seen. It doesn't seem to matter where you are in the audience, you can still see all the action. Its really steep seating is also party responsible for that.
One problem is that when it's really busy it gets horribly hot. The air-con isn't quite up to the job. There isn't a lot of leg room either so be prepared for that. I can also whole-heartedly recommend the show, Sister Act. It was amazing!

Both my sisters are lovers of froyo so I thought I'd take them along somewhere new when they visited recently. The main reason for coming here was because they did a chocolate version although I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the flavour. The machine had just run out and we had to wait for them to make more so perhaps that put a downer on things.
I do have to say though that the interior looks great and the mint choc crisp topping was amazing! Can highly recommend it. I can't see how anyone could manage to eat more than a small though. The portions are pretty generous.

My new favourite shop in London is Marshmallow Mountain Just off Carnaby Street because I stumbled upon two fab fifties style dresses for just £15 each the other day.
One of the store's strengths is the sheer quantity of shoes they stock - much more than most other vintage stores. They also have lovely little jewellery bits and sunglasses too, perfect for someone with a smaller budget. Don't miss the chests outside the front door for a bargain.
Beware of the changing rooms though - or should I say, curtains which don't close leaving you on display to passers by.

I watched Thriller Live here:
The first couple of numbers didn't do the cast justice, but the rest of the show was fab. The highlight had to be the Jackson 5 songs where the youngest singer in the show was a perfect sound-alike for the early Jackson vocals. Throw in all your favourite MJ songs and that equals 2 hours of fun. It's currently starring Zoe Birkett who wowed on Pop Idol with her Big Band performances in the season won by Will Young.
The actual theatre isn't as big as some of the others, but I had dress circle tickets which felt like I was close enough to the action and I had a pretty good view.
The_Style_PA No Rockin' robin I'm afraid... and I can't remember about Ben. I think they must have done.

I was invited here as a guest and my meal was paid for, but I wasn't overly impressed with the food. It's very simple, the tomato and mozzarella starter was literally just that. I had a sausage and tomato based main course which was nice, but definitely something I could have knocked up at home myself. The lemon tart to finish was lovely.
We were in the private dining room which was a great space, but I felt like this place was presenting itself as a lot posher than it actually is. There isn't a lot to choose from on the menu either.

First point to note, week night drinks are cheap as chips - just over £2 for a vodka, lime and soda. The music is fun and loud and there's plenty of entertaining dancers to watch.
The door staff literally scaremonger you into keeping your bag pinned to you the whole night for fear of it being snatched away, I presume they must have a large number of belongings getting stolen - or perhaps more likely, a lot of people get horrendously drunk and have no idea where they left their belongings!
Toilets aren't too nice so pee early and don't venture in towards the end of the night.
All in all though it's a really fun atmosphere with cheesy music, so if that's your thing go for it. Even better if you are actually gay.
