Le 51 - Bercy
51 rue de bercy, 75012 Paris

We stopped here for lunch and the food was just OK really. The soup starter contained potato which was terribly heavy. The roast chicken for main was served with mash and again was quite stodgy and greasy without the seasoning I would have expected. The best part of the meal was the lovely peppermint tea afterwards which was well needed.
The location is very quiet at the weekend too. I would rather head further into Paris to get a bit more choice of places to eat.
Indiana Café Montparnasse - Paris

The food at this place was very nice. I had chicken curry and my boyfriend had a mixed grill. The location is great too, just by the catacombs, which are also worth a visit.
The down side was the wait in getting a menu and then the wait in actually getting the food after that. The staff seemed nice but inexperienced and forgetful. We were starving and they just weren't attentive. The place was busy but not enough to warrant slow service.
Then to make matters worse their card machines were broken and it was a mad scrabble to round up enough change to pay the bill.
Castel Sant’ Angelo - Prati

Well worth a visit if you are in Rome. You'll recognise it from Angel's and Demons and there is a great mix of history art and artifacts. The higher parts are great for getting some snaps of the city.
Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari - Venice
Campo dei Frari, San Polo, Venezia

A very reasonable place to visit, Just 3 euro to go in when we did last summer. There is plenty of history and beautiful sculpture and art to occupy your time while you are there. The scale of the place is quite awe-inspiring.

After picking up a voucher at Britain's Next Top Model Live I thought I'd give the London College of Beauty Therapy a try. The voucher gave me my first treatment at just £5 and I opted for a prescriptive facial.
The therapists there are all training and are at varying points in their courses so I was concerned it would be a but hit-or-miss, but my beauty therapist was very good. It took a little longer than usual while she double checked things with her tutor, but I walked away with fabulous-feeling skin so there are no complaints from me. After all, they have to put in the hours to become fully qualified so it's good to give them the opportunity. Next time I think I'll try a manicure.

A friendly pub with small function room upstairs. he selection of drinks was good and the service was pretty good but there wasn't really anything that set it apart from the competition.
Science Museum - Knightsbridge

I went for the recent Lates event and it was a really good night, especially considering it was free of charge.
A silent disco in the Maths department, torch-light quest on the 5th floor not to mention wine and themed cocktails. The best thing about it is that there are no children, so you can enjoy the museum in a different way to usual.
I'd definitely go back and probably take a few more friends with me.
Sketch Lecture Room & Library - Mayfair

Wow, what a place.
The décor is worth going to see before you even have a drink or something to eat. When I went we had apple pie mojitos which were delicious and a selection of canapés which were mostly very good, apart from a couple of iffy ones.
If you go you really must make sure you use the bathrooms. They are egg-like pods which sound effects and it's all very surreal.
The major downside of this place is the price, but for an extra-special treat it should be on the to-do list, even if it's just for a drink in the bar.
The Florence - Herne Hill

This pub has a really good atmosphere and is just perfect for whiling away a Sunday afternoon with newspapers and a big roast dinner. And the roast dinners are huge by the way.
There's a simple system for tabs and the staff are friendly and competent. It's also a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. There is a big conservatory area and garden which is great in the summer. It's usually very busy on a Sunday so claim your spot early to get a good table.

Love this basement shop as it really feels like you are stepping back in time and rediscovering something. There is a great variety of clothing and accessories laid out by type and colour - I love colour coding!
I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the shoes which weren't really saleable in my opinion, but the beautiful dresses made up for it. I'll be popping in here regularly from now on.
The staff are usually dressed amazingly too.
