As a regular of the Milky Way, I was slightly taken aback by this review – I have been there quite a few times already and intend to continue to do so in the future. The coffee is more than decent and the service always done with a smile. It looks like you just took a personal dislike to the staff, as you were made to look foolish when interfering with the display and now want to get your own back in the cheapest, easiest way possible.
Over time, I have befriended the owners and got to understand the uniqueness of the place – you rarely see cafes with such attention to detail and set up with loving care. To conclude, I suggest you stay away from it, and choose one of the big chains as your next victim for your sly, below the belt comments as you seem to have a lot of time on your hands.
jacquileah Dear Tomstevens – I was simply sharing my experience with other reviewers, as you just did as well. That is the point of qype you see.
There was nothing “foolish” about me picking up a boxed cupcake that I was about to buy – but while waiting to pay I took a picture of it and was physically accosted by a male member of the staff. You see, the cupcakes were boxed, ready to be picked up and paid for. I was not interfering with the display, simply waiting to purchase a product. Which is the purpose of a shop, no?
