This is a very nice Spanish restaurant. The quality of the food served here is excellent. They have a great fish menu, which isn’t surprising as it’s in a fishing village.
The staff, will understand English, but not speak it too well, but you can make each other understand.
They will reccomend a nice wine to compliment whatever you choose to eat.
Children are always made welcome, and made a fuss of.
The restaurant doesn’t normally open before 9pm, as the Spanish don’t usually eat before then, but it will be well worth the visit.
Bhs - Bristol

BHS used to be an old fashioned shop, but these past couple of years, they have stepped up a gear.
The range of childrens wear is lovely, the party dresses for little girls is great. Some dresses could be used as Bridesmaids dresses, and they are such good value. They sell the accessories that you need to go with a dress, such as lacy tights, or matching hairband, it’s really improved. The staff are always willing and helpful, if you ask them anything, they will go off and find out for you. It’s a nice shop.
Woolworths - Bristol

What a shame, the liquidators have been called in.
It was a great shop, been going for years, they have always been very good on prices, may have been part of their downfall, but their range of Ladybird Children’s clothes was great. Always hardwearing, colours stayed fast, they always did a great range of dressing up clothes for the little ones too, I think it’s sad we are going to lose Woolies, such a good shop.
H & M Hennes - Bristol

This is such a good shop, particularly for Children’s clothes. It’s always fashionable and trendy, without breaking the bank, only one thing that’s not so good, sometimes the colours are a bit wishy washy, but then, if you’re not paying a lot for the garment, you’re not getting very good quality dye, so it’s swings and roundabouts, but kids grow so fast, it’s not as though they are going to be in the clothes for very long. The staff could do with cheering up a little too.
TJ Hughes - Bristol

I have mixed feelings about TJ Hughes. Sometimes you can go in, and everything is laid out nicely, you can walk around fine, and it’s nice stock, another day, it’s a mess, all the goods all over the place, you can’t move without knocking something, and the stock isn’t that special. Having said that, when it’s good, it’s great, they do sometimes get some great bargains in, especially around Christmas, but they do cater to seasons very well.
Debenhams - Bristol
1-5 St. James Barton, Bristol BS1 3LT

I love this shop. Staff are usually very nice too. Debenhams sell good quality products at very reasonable rates. They have just had a 3 day sale where everything was 25% off, great for Christmas bargains.
The perfume counters are great, they are just inside the doors, so when you go in the store smells great. The big sale will be Boxing day no doubt, so if you can hang on till then instead of before Christmas, you will get some great deals.
John Lewis - Bristol

It’s always a pleasure to go into John Lewis. I like the quality of everything you see.
I love the perfume counters, when you go in the door, the shop smells lovely, next are all the Christmas decorations, things you couldn’t get in other shops. You have to pay a little more for the goods, but for the quality you get, it’s definately worth the extra money.
Thay always have a great restaurant, and the food is always good.
Selfridges London - Mayfair
400 Oxford Street, Marylebone, London W1A 2LR

This is an excellent store. Full of designer labels, and American treats. You need to go in and have a look around, it’s all very well set out, you will need to have saved up too, it’s quite expensive, but if you can get there Boxing day, usually when the sales start, you should definately get some good bargains then.
Oxford Street is the street for serious shoppers, so if you’re there go in and have a look around.
Harrods - Knightsbridge
87-135 Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7XL

Wow, what a fabulous shop. You will love it there. I’m not really into shopping, but I could stay in there for a week and not see it all. It’s an experience, even if you can’t afford to buy anything, you have to go in and have a look.
They have a car in their window display. Normal people, on normal salaries, cannot afford to shop there, but you could always buy a souvenir, and you’d get yourself one of those famous green Harrods bags.
Brunel hairdressing College - Bristol

This is a really good place to get your hair done. The students, cut, colour and perm hair at very good rates, depending on what you have done.
They are supervised at all times, so theres very little chance of a disaster, and even if there is a disaster, it’s only hair, it will grow again.
If you are thinking of having something really wacky done, or if you too are a student you should give them a try, we all need practice.
Nicky4664 please can you tell me how to get in touch with the college so i can have my hair done by them
Thanks
