Excellent food, drinks and a warm welcome :-)

New Bekash Tandoori Restaurant - Towcester

100 Watling Street, Towcester, Northamptonshire NN12 6BT

Food was ok, nothing special and not exactly the ‘finest’ I have ever experienced although the menu was reasonably priced and the service very attentive but sadly I won’t be returning as the food is equally as imporant as the service.

Prego - Buckingham

Fantastic fresh food and good service, much better than Prezzo.

Prezzo - Buckingham

Service is too rushed and food is just mediocure – Prego service and food is much much better.

The Old Thatched Inn - Adstock

Regularly visit The Old Thatched Inn and absolutely love it – service is great, food excellent, menu changes regularly and cosy atmosphere, very highly recommended.

The Betsey Wynne - Milton Keynes

I have eaten at The Betsy Wynne around a dozen times now and have always been a little disappointed with the food – there is nothing actually wrong with it, but it has just lacked something. Having said that I was very impressed with the food on my last visit, it was delicious and the menu had changed which was good (previously the menu seemed mostly unchanged for several years).

The problem with this pub/restaurant is that there is very little in the way of friendliness from the staff – some are quite wooden (we were served a bottle of wine with no word at all from the gentleman who brough it to the table, he just put it on the table, lid on and left – rather odd (and quite rude we thought), and this, in my opinion, lets the place down – when you go out for a meal it’s the whole experience that you want, not just good food, sadly The Betsy Wynne seems to fail to realise this.

The Old Thatched Inn has both exactly right and I would recommend this over The Betsy Wynne all day long, because of this.

clarkie1958 The Betsy was great a few years back when the lady managed it whilst the owner stayed in the kitchen. After she went all the good staff left. The owner and his wife should take a back seat. As for the food its good but the menu nowadays is limited..
