Visited last week for a quick meal before going to the cinema and was surprised at how well it went considering other reviews on here.
We were sat down straight away, had a drinks order taken immediately, placed a food order when the drinks arrived and were all done after 45 minutes, leaving plenty of time to amble over to the cinema.
Admittedly it wasn’t “peak” time and I’ve no doubt they get hectic at certain times but very efficient if you find yourself in Bentley Bridge and hungry at half three in the afternoon on a wet Tuesday!

A lovely little bar in the centre of town that many years ago was a very rough spit ‘n’ sawdust type of place that is now one of the better bars in Wolverhampton.
No food here so no need for a “Scores on the doors” rating from Wolves Council.
It isn’t easy to turn a “proper” pub into a classy place without annoying a lot of people but the Cuban Exchange has managed to do just that.
I tend to visit during the week and really enjoy the quieter time sat with friends but I’m told it’s good at weekends too.
Definitely would recommend a visit.

A huge disappointment when I visited with friends around 2 weeks ago.
Visiting on a very quiet Monday evening two of us went in and were served fairly quickly and in fairness were enjoying the music while we played a touchscreen game they have between the bar and entrance.
Unfortunately when our 2 friends came to meet us in there they were looked up and down by the doorman who simply shouted “no!” at them.
When they enquired if there was a problem he simply stated “You not coming in here” – avoiding the temptation to correct his English they pointed out that they had friends in the building and asked if they could come and get us.
A gruff “move away” followed by a sucking of the doorman’s teeth was the response.
Avoid at all costs and find somewhere that gives a damn about their customers or risk an awful experience.

Actually a very nice and incredibly friendly place in the heart of the City Centre.
No food on offer so no score on Wolves Councils “Scores on the doors”.
Incredibly intimidating to anybody not familiar with the pub but has possibly the most welcoming staff and customers of any pub in town, people in there just seem to make friends with anyone that walks in.
Oodles of character as a beautiful building outside and totally unique inside, definitely a truly unique pub which is worth visiting again and again – highly recommended.

A bit hit ‘n’ miss at Quadrant.
No review by Wolves Councils “Scores on the doors” yet but I’ll edit when it happens.
I’ve been a couple of times for specific nights such as the fairly new Jambay evening and thoroughly enjoyed myself where I’ve been for a specific reason with friends whilst drinks offers have been running.
Where it has missed is when I’ve turned up on the hop and just popped in – unless you’re in there for a reason with friends it just isn’t at all homely and depending on what you drink, can be a bit pricey too.
There are certainly worse places in Wolverhampton but better places if you’re out on a bar crawl – if they are holding an event that appeals to you and you aren’t too fussy about what you drink in order to take advantage of the offers I’d recommend having a peek – otherwise, there are better alternatives.

A nice pub in Bentley Bridge which is food led but still does lots of other things.
3 stars from Wolves Councils “Scores on the doors” so a nice, clean kitchen.
Mostly, the pub is aimed at diners but they have other events such as psychic nights and a quiz night that my partner and I attended on a Tuesday (I think) night – the quizmaster has the most beautiful voice on the microphone so it’s a bit of a shock when you see him in the flesh!
Food was standard pub fayre but the service was pretty good and the staff friendly – well worth a visit if you’re at Bentley Bridge.

Another solid addition to Bentley Bridge in the form of Cosmo.
4 stars from Wolves Councils “Scores on the doors” so a very good, clean kitchen.
4 stars from me also as I have been twice and been incredibly impressed with the quality of the food on offer, the desserts alone are worth the cost of getting in!
Simply much, much better than other Asian “Eat All You Like” places in Wolverhampton and the only reason for not getting 5 stars from me is the fact that it’s so popular they operate a “maximum 90 minutes” policy on tables, which is a little annoying if you want to relax for a few hours – that aside, a superb place to eat.
Highly recommended.

As far as the visual and audio quality are concerned, this place is as it should be. Regarding prices, although it can feel like an expensive night out, most cinema’s (outside of London) are pretty much equally priced, although food and drink at these places is on the pricey side.
So why only 1 star?
Over the last 12 months the number of staff working has dwindled to a shockingly small number.
Humans have been replaced by machines to purchase tickets and getting hold of an actual person is beyond the realms of possibility. Should you choose to pay cinema prices for food or drink you will be in for quite a wait as the number of serving staff is totally inadequate to meet the demand and at most times a huge queue will be snaking around the building.
If they can find it within their business plan to actually employ some people I’ll do another review but until then you should avoid – and find somewhere that employs real people.

Wolverhampton Market lives, but is still far from being the market it was years ago.
Trying to break the vicious circle of people not going because there’s no variety / various traders leaving because there’s not enough customers is a difficult task but I know the local Council is committed to the City Centre market.
Cannot compete with the bustling Bilston market but if customers come and the traders and Council work together then there’s no reason Wolves market can’t go back to something resembling it’s glory days.
Still worth 3 stars from me because the hardcore of people who believe in the place are fighting for it.

Went to Maplin in Dudley Street a while back when my laptop wouldn’t turn on.
While I’m a computer novice, the staff were incredibly helpful, with their techie guys at the back of the store happy to help out and test all my equipment so I didn’t end up buying the wrong piece of replacement kit.
Very good, friendly service that I’d be happy to recommend.
